Apparently Shiel has injured his shoulder... again.

We need to get that fixed ASAP before he starts pre-season.
Was seen on the phone prior to injury and overheard saying 'sure Steve, consider it done'.

No matter what happens there’s no doubt he comes back to Melbourne to play footy.Eagles on the down ward spiral no talent coming through years of regenerating that list.No brainer to leave.
They'll be pushing him out the door if the compo = a top 5 pick

Jack is a marginally better player than Ben.
Ben also has a shit attitude.

Source: Ben’s teammate.

Maybe not the thing some of you want to hear but I feel like others might want to know.
SOS is a genius, the planting of the "do not want" seed appears to have been implemented to a good degree of success.

Bottom 4 again this year will get us a gun mid. Hoping for an outside goal kicking mid. A bit of Razzle Dazzle would be lovely. Kid looks a dead set. Rankine and his moves will bring a few more through the gates

Nope ... we will not be bottom four. No ******* way. But yes I agree, best available mid for us. Whether that be inside or an outside, don't really mind. Goal sense a must. Please apply within.

:)

Name 4 sides who finish below us?
Go North!
Brions
Freo
Gold Coast
LOllingwood
Eagles (maybe)
Dorks I'm not convince on either .... maybe JOM might keep them a little relevant .... other than that and their pressure they are bog ordinary ....

Time will tell but I'm predicting 14th worst case to 8 if everything gels.

Brisbane, Gold Coast, North. Possibly Freo, Hawks or Pies and a lot of people expecting a slide form WC.
First three I reckon are almost a given, then you just need one of the other four.

Agree with North, Gold Coast and Collingwood.
Brisbane touch-and-go, they're in a similar spot to us and I wouldn't be surprised if there's nothing but percentage separating us on the ladder.
Freo still have some genuine quality on their list and get the added bonus of half their games being played in WA.
WC weaker than Freo, but the home advantage can't be denied.

14th/15th wouldn't surprise me at all...though if we have a good season and things really click for us, we could just as easily be up around 10th-12th.

Go North! - yes
Brions - most likely 70/30
Freo - no
Gold Coast - most likely 70/30
LOllingwood chance 50/50
Eagles (maybe) not so sure - 30/70
You've picked 4 out of 6 teams with a clear home ground advantage. They will win a few unexpected that they shouldn't.

Agree re north. Collingwood arent too bad or too good. I still think we will heavily rely on our kids to step up. Think you are 1 season early on our rise. Gibbs and Doc gone. Our depth isnt there yet and we need depth with a lot of our list under 50 games.

Brisbane touch-and-go, they're in a similar spot to us and I wouldn't be surprised if there's nothing but percentage separating us on the ladder. (Much like us lost some talent), Forward line is flaky as **** .... defence is highly suspect.
Freo still have some genuine quality on their list and get the added bonus of half their games being played in WA. (Have some MASSIVE culture issues)
WC weaker than Freo, but the home advantage can't be denied. (Fragile would not be surprised if they pull the trigger on a re build at the end of 2018)

Growth in the seeds we have planted, should ... I stress should .... see us better than those you mentioned.

All fair comments that have been bouncing around Mine and Crippa's head (apparently) lol

I just rate our list a little further along than you.

The first two years under Bolts was reaching discipline. Defence. Don't let them score.

Preseason, introducing some offensive overlays. Much like a karate dude. Learn not to get hit first. Then use counter strikes to deal the damage. Are we going to make mistakes??? Fukkin A we are. No doubt.

Will we jag some wins where we all thought the day was going to end in a shit tip?? Yes we will. Make no mistake, we will blindside at least 3 or 4 more fancied opponents this year.

Don't discount young whelps when they get a run on .... experience is one thing .... youthful exuberance and no fear factor is another entirely, almost impossible thing to measure.
