And isn't funny that even the Tigers are chasing Lynch, despite their current structure

Jack is 30

IMO it's a bit irrelevant for us anyway. Add McGovern to McKay TDK Charlie Jack BSOS Casboult & Kerr and we are covered. At least for a year or two anyway. We now need to add quality mids.

Sorry to rain on your parade guys but if McGovern is leaving then he ain't leaving for a 2nd round pick like some have suggested.

Lever was uncontracted and we got 2 first rounders (and he is not a KPP)

Gibbs was contracted and you got 2 first rounders..

There's a few precedents for you.

Pick 1 post season draft would be the thing that would most concern me if I was an Adelaide fan, especially as rumours are he may have grounds for contract termination?

How about this:
1: McGovern is not Lever, or anywhere near worth as much.
2: You have Reid, we have SOS.

Even if they don't have the years they have had, it's fair reward for what they have done and for what they bring to the group as a whole.

Do we really need to reach for a Mcveigh, when we still have these guys for another year?
Not sure Daisy really brings disciplined style of leadership. He is loved by one and all but its for being a larrikin and (in my opinion) a loose unit.
This is great but he does tend to do some silly lairish things out on the park.

I think someone like McViegh in particular could be more of a disciplinarian holding the young guys to high standards especially since he would be a new influence.

Surely you are not putting him in that class?
He makes a valid point though and it does concern me as we aren't in a position to overpay for players, especially if the player in question is not a midfielder. Crows overpaid for a contracted Gibbs, GC overpaid with pick 2 for Weller. I'm not liking this at all.

And will still play a role

Even after the Tigers had injuries to talls, Hardwick conceded that they would have preferred to have played more than 1 tall forward, even after the GF.

All teams will play with 2 talls if fit, the difference now, is when they are not fit, sides look to improving best 22, whether that is another tall or small

Pies are also chasing Lynch, couple that with Cox, still 2 talls

If you ask most crows supporters they would tell you very different... Mitch can clunk pack marks and has kicked clutch goals, he is a gun and won't be let go for nothing

Point 2 is exactly why I don't see this happening... I honestly don't even understand the interest given your KPF stocks, as many have mentioned here surely mids more your thing this year

No not at all why ?
Even they would be astonished at how durable Jack has been over the years but if they lost him to injury then what ?
Have they got any other backups other than Moore at all thats played a senior game ?

McGovern is a talented footballer and would be a good asset , but not in the Gibbs ambit of ability nor durability.
If it were of interest, I’d trade CFC pick 1 for Mitch McGovern & Crows first round 2018 picks, 7 & 12 maybe.

Not disagreeing. Just not the priority it once was and as I said by adding McGovern I reckon we are well covered. Focus now on mids

But that wont happen. We wont let go of pick 1 unless a player like Kelly is on offer imo

Given McGovern's contract status, Adelaide could quite rightly demand 'overs' in any trade negotiation, but such plays don't seem to be Silvagni's MO. We must see McGovern being a very key part of our team and structure, then? More so than his output thus far would perhaps warrant. Interesting stuff.

Also can't dismiss our recent trading history with adelaide re Gibbs.

We held firm due to the contract and didn't trade Gibbs in 2016. Adelaide will be incentivised even more than usual to drive a hard bargain.
