Whilst I love the fact that Sos looks like he is being very aggressive chasing these guys That are rumoured (Setterfield,Brodie,Walsh if selected) it still dosent fill that 23-26 void.Hopefully and I’m sure there are other players in that range he is targeting.
The void on our list was always the 23/24 - 28 range isn't it? Not sure why its being shortened to 26 lately. There are hundreds of pages devoted to the likes of Shiel, McGovern, Fasolo etc along with any number of other free agents being spoken about and mature state league players that fall right in the range that we are light on. The void you speak of is hardly being ignored.

Three days ago I was very excited about the prospect of SPP (usual caveats apply) thinking his kicking wasn't great but tolerable.

Last night not only was his kicking terrible, his decisions were worse. He was just careless.

Still a beast in the contest but man, they would need to work day and night on the finer aspects of the sport.
Bit of the Henderson "I dont wanna be here anymore" maybe?

Most likely will get none.

Everyone else they have targeted have gone elsewhere or re-signed with their existing Club. :D
In all seriousness i reckon they're a real chance...last year they allegedly almost got Martin or Kelly when they were near bottom of the ladder and everyone expected a bleak 2018 for them.

They have now finished just outside the 8, beating some top teams and playing a good brand of footy.

They're missing that classy outside runner, so if they land Polec and/or Gaff i'd have them in my top 8 next year.

Son of a gun from the Dogs has to be either Wallis or Libba. Hoping it would be Wallis, do like him as a player. Ess want everyone as we saw last off-season, not too concerned about them and their interest in Shiel. Wallis would come here knowing he has midfield minutes waiting for him.

The Port one though is too vague. Polec would be fantastic but too high of a price. Hartlett may be a good shout. Travis Boak though, this makes sense. Out of contract next season, from Vic and ties in with the "targeting of a captain" rumour we've recently had. Could be anyone though.

so its not related to asos, its related to our development of him. There is nothing wrong with bringing in mature bodies to allow younger players coverage and to develop per se.
I understand the sentiment of your last statement, but shouldn’t they have to be mature bodies that complement those players that we already have? If they don’t compliment what we have, then they are just replacing or backing up what we already have.

Polec is one of the better ones at what he does and he’s going to be running the same patterns and angles as LOB has been doing. What are we going to do with LOB? We can’t have him running the same patterns and angles two steps behind and we are limited with what he can be re-deployed as due to his attributes.

I don't know anything, he just ticks a few of the boxes.

Young, shown some talent just unable to break into a senior midfield. Price wouldn't be exorbitant. Seems a more realistic target at this stage.

Reported North were interested but they might have bigger fish to fry if reports are half true.
