We deserve one for finally entering the AFL era. We surprised with our coach, CEO and Football Manager positions, all genuine processes.
We stripped back our list and embraced our first rebuild.
We have become good citizens in the community.
Yeah, I'd argue the changes we have done all the right things to deserve a leg up.
Teams get all sorts of help these days. The AFL help with money, facilities, staff, sponsors, figuring, home ground advantages ... all sorts of things.
As if pick 12 will be the difference between winning a flag or not. Could certainly help to fast track some fan enjoyment though.
