I'm loving Fox Footy's "history month". Just watching 1985 prelim between Hawks and Dogs...
Hawthorn kick away in the last, and just as the commentator says "Hawthorn's professionalism is coming to the fore" the camera pans up to their coaches box where one of the coaches is having a drag of his dart...
I ****en loved the 80's !

I was hoping to catch the Port and Gold Coast games as I was overseas at the time. I guess under the new Fox Footy off season programming format, that aint goin to happen.

There might be another delisting today. Clem Smith. Has come back fat. You might have noticed it in the 15 second video the club put up on twitter as 1-4 year players have come back for pre-season. Will rookie him though.

Can they just delist a contracted player for coming back fat? Surely there would have to be more to it than that if they are able to delist him and the aflpa don't absolutely tear the club a new one (or at least throw a giant hissy fit .....)

Not sure about the disciplinary angle but if the intent is to re-rookie then it's quite a common practice for players on the last year of a contract.

We've brought in 6 mature-agers, so Clem slides down the pecking order. Not having Malthouse around as his backer, he won't be gifted games unless we have a LTI in any case.

LTI=LONG TERM INJURY! I got one, I got one!
Please tell me I'm right...
