If the Prestia thing is real we would be looking at giving up a top 10 draft pick.
Trade our first round pick to GWS for their 2 first round picks plus some of our lower picks... if the Geebungs drop further down the ladder, then their 2016 pick we traded to them could be a mid top 10 draft pick... and would be ideal to be traded for Prestia :D

As long as it isn't our first pick, I'd be fine with that. Super quality player with his whole career ahead of him, filling a desperate need for our club. The trick would be procuring a pick between 6-10 or thereabouts without compromising the rest of the draft picks or team through trade.

Not dismissing Malthouse's responsibility for decisions like recruiting Thomas, but for the sake of 50k, you'd think a guy would keep playing for the club that has set him up for life.
You don't treat a one club player who was a genuine leader on field and mentor off field - the way Malthouse was allowed to treat with Eddie and his apprentices...it was the beginning of the end of a few players when they saw the difference between the way D.Thomas was 'treated' and how they were being treated...

It wasn't about 50K it was about the fact that there was a discussion about 50K - a Carlton 'carrying' quite a few ridiculous over payment contracts- for years - not limited to D.Thomas...anyway..Adelaide's gain and our shoulda been a one Club player loss.

I'm assuming the Geebungs are Geelong. They'll be top 4 in 2016.

Reading a few pages back suggestions that Dylan Buckley be packaged up in a trade.

When you are trying to build a strong culture, you don't trade out your heart & soul players.
Like losing Eddie he was the heart of the forward line and when he left the guys up there had no spark at all.

Bucks will be a beauty when he matures and takes more time to think about his next move. One thing to run nuts off the backline but if he's getting caught or turning it over he is wasting his talents. Less frantic, more getting the ball away efficiently and accurately upfield.

He's better than a hbf, good enough to go through the middle now.

Footysmarts, he's got it in spades and that's what we lack going inside 50.

He just gets nervous when he knows I'm watching.

WO WOW WOAHHHHH
no need to drag Doc down to build Dyl up thank you ploise!
Doc is doing fine as the general down back.

What we are screaming out for is run through the middle, and granted we drafted only 223cms or thereabouts...........it's time for Dylan to go into the guts.

Krooz, Cripps, MM, Dyl Bucks.............like the sound of that.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

.....and I sure as heck aint going through Krooz, to Murph, to Gibbs......who bombs it across his body and hopes for the best.
