Way I see it, (Murphy aside being captain) there are only 4 untouchable players on our list, Cripps, Harry McKay, Charlie Curnow and Weitering.

Anyone else on the list is fair game for trade if the price is right.

SOS going by his M.O both at GWS and last year here is keen to try stockpile as many good draft picks as possible, and i can honestly see Graham being touted as surplus to requirements (or he may simply ask to be traded) as a means to to an end to get another good draft pick.

If we had better depth/a stronger list, would Nick Graham honestly be rated a best 22 player ? I don't think SOS is done with the list cull/turnover, put it that way...

3 kids who haven't played a game are all of a sudden untouchable?

You could say this of any amount of players at the club. Nick Graham hasn't put a foot wrong since MM left. He even performed well despite the limitations he put on him. Not the fastest, I get that. But excellent around goals, good traffic sense, compact, neat skills and leaves everything out there. Loves the club. Keep.

Would we get anything for Jones if we listed him on eBay???
We'd have to have a pretty thorough non-returns policy!

Better off putting him on Gumtree in the "Free to good home" section....maybe just any home.

Yes that's all valid points, I am happy to keep Graham myself, he seems like a solid lad, but I do have queries about his pace (we definitely need more zippy midfield types) and lets be honest, who could have foreseen Menzel being traded during the middle of last season?

SOS has to (and will) make trading decisions that will be unpopular amongst the supporters (such as the Menzel trade) and i can easily imagine Graham being one of those controversial trades. And i am not advocating trading Graham at all, just pointing out that SOS and the new recruiting group are likely going to be more ruthless on list management decisions.

Just seemed a strange way to not advocate trading Graham at all.

In the sense that we're rebuilding from the ground up with youth, the three of them along with Cripps, would be the closest thing that we have to untradeable players.

Gotta knock off the Jones' put-downs (me too). Is he giving his best? If so, he's not up to it through no fault of his own. We weren't forced to take him.
It's actually getting on my nerves a bit, fair enough if we need a whipping boy but people are having a crack at every opportunity. Would hate for him to see this board. I know I'd be a nervous wreck going on to the field knowing everyone is out to laugh at my expense...

It's a shit attitude to knock anyone that genuinely tries their best as was the case with players such as Cachia, Watson, Ellard etc in recent years.

Not sure Jones is quite in that department just yet but he's not quite as lazy as quite a few players we've had in more recent times.

And the tackle when he buries Wines was a sight to behold...

Fair point Thy, but it was the Mick Malthouse comments from last pre-season that really had me scratching my head. Beast, Wayne Carey type etc etc...
