Mate - you are preaching to the converted have been smashing the table regarding the midgets we have been recruiting as far as midfielders go - for years - thankfully SOS is on the same page and I don't feel like my rugby bias was blinding me. I think Cripp's size has woken a lot of people up- and am liking the look of Cuningham and Vojo as they get bigger by the week. But yeh - we need a definite beast next to Crippa so we can own the center bounces against anyone.

The center and clearance set up situation has been pretty bad this year - costing us way too many easy forward 50 entries by opposition.
Will be exciting to see Cuningham and vojo when and if they get up to the big time . I haven't seen much at all of them myself but by all reports their good users of the ball .

I'm not a massive Gibbs fan, but he is a bloody good footballer.
It's not his fault he was drafted by a club that is going through one of the worst periods in its history.
If he was drafted by Swans, Cats, Hawks, he would be a superstar.
Absolute myth. His laconic style and poor work ethic wouldn't have been tolerated at those clubs and he would have been a bust.

Cripps got drafted to a bottom team and has thrived mainly on the back of his own doing, why should we make an excuse for Gibbs?

FWIW Champion Data guys were saying that Schache's Under 18 stats were up there with the best in last 15 years for KPF.

I.e. Top 4 with Tom Lynch, Hawkins and J Kennedy.
Is that just for the Champs or does it include his TAC performances, because I thought they put rules in to prevent a loose man in defence at the Champs last year, or at least recently.

you could be the best full forward since sliced bread, but you wont get a goal if the ball doesnt get in your forward half......
Unless you can kick goals for the back side of the centre circle. And then I would say you are kind of special.

Bolton seems to mention Cunningham abit but can't recall him bringing up DVR at all apart from that snippet in the Journey, is DVR in Boltons future plans at all?

Probably others on here might be able to answer that ? . As I'm not really up with how well DVR is going , he did struggle last year other than hearing he is silky smooth disposal wise . If that's correct hope to see both of them in at some stage this year .

Bloody hope so. How many rainy days do I have to sacrifice shaking my head at Skittles unwillingness to use his rocket-launcher left boot? Also, $1 in the Cuningham jar please, C73.

But then again you could be like Carlton and get the ball forward with no-one to kick the goals.

They are both important!!

Not sure but the Champion Data guy rated both Weits and Schache very highly.

They did do that, and had to have minimum 3 players in each fifty at any point in time to stop flooding as well I believe.

If only we had similar rules to prevent flooding by posters.....

.... At least we know you're good for repeat efforts, FBI! ;)

I remember him. Slice-O we called him. What a gun.

Edit - ha, nice to see my 5000th post is a content-free small nugget of stupidity. Why break with the momentum of 4999 other gems.

Gibbs relies on his fineness and quality distribution he's an intelligent playmaker and not a work horse.
Cripps and Kreuzer do the heavy bullocking work, with skill of course.
Murphy and Gibbs are skillful and creative players all teams need desperately.
FYI. Gibbs is leading our turnover count atm

Aah, I remember Slice-o. Always faded them to the right though, would have been a million a year forward if only he could kick..
