If geelongs first is a no go, is there a chance we cover our butts this year and get a mid pick next year?

This year we trade Hendo to geelong for their 2nd and 3rd. This way we are good when it comes to points for father sons this year and then some.

Next year we give up our 3rd for their 2nd.

Not ideal, but I would hate to have to give up a good pick this year just to cover points.

Geelong would most likely want their 1st round pick out of their hands as quickly as possible so they don't have to trade for danger. I wouldn't be surprised if they traded their 1st for Henderson on the first day of trade week.

Needs to be more transparent. I suggest "should the player return to the Club after any administrative absence fat as ****, the club reserves the right to tell the fatty to GAGF"

It doesnt matter what he did this year. His worth is over the course of his career to date and what he is going to be like going forward. Yarran didnt just suddenly lose all his talent and skill and become a C grade player overnight. The skill and talent is still there. He just needs a better environment than he had this year for those skills and talent to blossom again.

Any team that takes him if he leaves will be paying him on the collective sum of his career stats... not just his stats from this year when he was terrible.

So if Carlton is going to sell him, he will be sold off as an A grade player and we will get the price we want.

All this bullshit the media, that you love listening to, is coming out with is just bullshit to make it look like we are having a fire sale and we are desperate to sell off our players for anything that we can get in the effort that the club might suddenly start thinking that we need to accept any offer from other clubs because thats the best we are going to get.

Unfortunately, it is only people like yourself who seems to believe that shit because I know for a fact that Yarran outside of this year is an A grade player, despite what the media says, and will attract an A grade response. Henderson is an A grade, established KPP who wants out of the club and will have a number of suitors. If the Geebungs don't offer up something good, then we will shop him around to other clubs in an effort to get something more like what we are asking for him.

ALSO... remember that Yazz is contracted and if we don't get what we want for him, we don't have to ****ing sell him at all!

With Yarran, only 1 club has had an informal discussion with regards to him. Bolton wants to keep Yaz so unless we get an unbelievable deal he is staying.

If Geelong's rebuild is in full swing and they finish lower than 10th then hell yes!

Getting Dangerfield and Henderson won't magically make them a flag threat. McIntosh, Johnson, Stokes, Rivers, Kelly might be out the door and Bartel will be tapped on the shoulder soon enough with Enright, Lonergan and Mackie still the wrong side of 30.

The cats are in transition and I'd expect them to fall further. 24 players on their list with less than 50 games experience and that's before those high profile retirements. By contrast, we have 16 (plus rookies).

Settle down.

Your definition of an A grader differs from mine. I consider Fyfe, Dangefield and Hannebery all A graders

I don't consider Matt Priddis an A Grader and he won a Brownlow (possibly even two)

I honestly find it difficult to quantify Yarran's value, but I do know he ain't in the same class as the A Graders I mentioned.
