Ok rarely post but had this information passed onto me last night.. source is impeccable straight from the horses mouth. One of my employees had dinner with one Jake Carlisle and a mutual friend of theirs. He told them the Carlton offer is $800k per year for 4 years! If you ask me that's way overs and irresponsible by the club if true... just passing this on.. don't shoot the messenger!
Not shootong you down, but i just find it hard to believe a) we would offer that much b) he would openly discuss the details of an offer like this.
Thanks for passing on though, we'll wait and see.

Never........but maybe he's thinking that McCarthy may have slipppppppppppppppppppppped.

Can't see the point in such assumptions.

Nah there is no point, McCarthy wasn't going far past 14 if he did slip. He did qualify it with "not 100% sure", nice little get out clause ;)

If it includes match payments and the like (so we're covered if he misses time with a suspension), and it's conditional on him walking in the PSD - I'm almost OK with that. It's steep, but we should have oodles of room in the cap, and I'd rather pay dollars to entice players over than spend money on our own underperformers.

If there's going to be a trade required though...no thanks. $550k max.

KB reading out a text- Carlton requesting a PP

They have formally done it. :)

They had to do it just to bring the situation back to where it should have been......................playing the game.

These games shit me to be frank, but any other team would do the same when the AFL bends the rules to suit.
Seems that the chats with the AFL didn't go so well.

Since when did Casboult become a trade fact? What is teh source of this rumour- anyone?

Throwaway comment on talkback radio (SEN?) I think.

Nothing reported at all in the mainstream media, so doubt there's anything to it. Just ****wits trying to rile up Blues fans and make us look like we're worse off than we actually are (not that we could be much worse...)

Heard this rumour from Steven Trigg apparent he was discussing this with this physio on Monday (word for word recording):

"I also guarantee we will do everything we can to keep Matthew Kreuzer, who as a free agent has the right to assess his options. We know full well what a fit ‘Kreuz’ means to Carlton people. We have to be smart with all of our player calls though, (and we need good, clear information), so we'll keep working hard on that one over the coming weeks to get the best, long-term outcome for the Club."

Doesn't sound like the kind of conversation a club CEO would have with their physio...

This is word for word what he said on talking footy on Monday night.

following along those thoughts, c) he is inflating the amounts to sound important to his mates. Ooops guys never do that.

Well he did dive for a free kick against Richmond. Maybe his season would have been different.
Dive? Think we remember that differently haha. He put his arms out to show the ump he no longer had the ball. Not sure that counts as diving does it?

Looked like a dive to me.
But we can agree to disagree on this one mate.

Hardly fair that he does it once and misses a season, but guys like Christensen, Stokes, Lindsay Thomas and Grimes roll it out a dozen times a game with no penalty [emoji14]
Yeah i felt sorry for him.
If you believe Mick he was flying over the preseason.
