Settle down.

Your definition of an A grader differs from mine. I consider Fyfe, Dangefield and Hannebery all A graders

I don't consider Matt Priddis an A Grader and he won a Brownlow (possibly even two)

I honestly find it difficult to quantify Yarran's value, but I do know he ain't in the same class as the A Graders I mentioned.

In that case where would you rate Allen Christensen?

I'm not getting excited over what Geelong or Richmond want to offer just yet.
We have a different man incharge now so hopefully we will start to get value for our players from now on.
I wouldn't have said that 12 months ago.

Ohh... look at that... 3 media love childs. The favourite sons of the popular press.

Would you consider Cyril an A grade player? Because realistically on skill and talent alone, Yarran would own Cyril... if he was in a better side than ours at the moment. At present, I would actually rate Yazz overall as either a B+ to A- player at Carlton with flashes of being an A grader, but slot him into a team like Hawthorn where he is surrounded by very good players, and he would pretty much instantly rocket into the realms of an A grade player consistently.

As for Priddis, he is a firm B grade player for the weagles which means that in a bottom 8 side, he would be considered an A grader.

Geelong would most likely want their 1st round pick out of their hands as quickly as possible so they don't have to trade for danger. I wouldn't be surprised if they traded their 1st for Henderson on the first day of trade week.

I might be wrong but isnt the free agency period before trade week? Also if Adelaide decide to match any Geelong offer, which is on the cards, then Geelong needs its first round pick to use to trade for him.

Something like that :)

It doesnt matter what he did this year.
Umm, yes it definitely does. I would say his 2015 form is the most relative factor in his value going into the 2016 season.

Just because he has A grade talent doesn't mean he's going to produce it at the next club. They're taking a risk too and it's absolutely fair to be reluctant to give up a 1st rounder.

So we keep him - then what? He mopes around, gets in other players ears, decreases his value further and walks around at VFL like he did for the last 6 weeks this year?

New club, new environment... look at what has happened with Jeffy at Melbourne this year. While he hasnt completely returned to his best, he is definitely better than he was at Carlton last year.

That being said... if we trade him and he turns into the A grader we all know he can be and we let him go for the equivilent of 2 mars bars and a bottle of coke... then there are going to be a lot of Carlton supporters up in arms crying for someone's head.

FFS what tripe. Yarran has had patches of being an A grade player. Cyril is a triple premiership player, dual All-Australian etc. Yarran has been C to D grade this year and had one A grade year - 4 years ago in 2011. Yarran own Cyril? Just lol. I've never seen someone as agile and quick in traffic as Cyril, his disposal is one of the best in the league also.

3 media love childs? Watch some games and see why they're so highly rated instead of smashing your keyboard in anger.

I want a first rounder. We won't get it though, nor should we. He's overrated by Carlton folk and has been disappointing since 2011 where it looked like he was about to take the comp by storm. He has never displayed a high work ethic or built up a big enough tank, he has had feuds with Ratts, Malthouse and Barks, and has never responded when been dropped to the VFL. Talent to burn though obviously.

We will settle for 2nd round plus steak knives. I have a feeling we want him gone and he wants out.

#Bluemour - Richmond still consider themselves a chance at Adam Treloar. Not likely to make any major moves (Yarran etc.) until Treloar is signed sealed and delivered to wherever he ends up going.
Hence the comments that we won't be getting their first round pick.

They, also, are hoping to kerzump the filth in the hunt for Treloar. I hope that Carlton have plans as well to try and grab him if things fall through.

I would take a second or third round pick for him this year and a first round pick from next years draft.

If he goes to a new club and is instrumental in their rise up the ladder, then the first round pick is really what he is worth. If he doesnt help them rise up the ladder, then we got a steal. However the onus is on the coach and the team that he ends up at to improve so that they are not losing as much as what they would be if they remained static.

As for the steak knives... no more VFL quality hacks please... we have more than enough guys who are just AFL level as it is... and one guy who is really just good enough to qualify as a VFL hack that we are paying as if he were a very good AFL player.

That 'rumour' about the Punt Rd Ferals 'still consider themselves a chance at Adam Treloar' was in the HUN this morning.

End of the day, Yazz is still contracted to us and I would trust Bolton to turn him around and turn him into a serious A grader by the end of the year!

Keep in mind future picks can be traded. Wouldn't mind taking a future first rd from Geelong or Richmond. Plus I don't see how Richmond can offer more for GWS then Collingwood possible offer of Witts + 1st rd pick.
