True but i was just responding to the part about the PSD threat...which cant happen due to the contract.

But yeah a deal will definitely be made...the situation seems really dog to me though.

Look mental health is a sensitive topic not to be taken lightly, but the whole thing just reeks of Fremantle and McCarthy screwing GWS over to get an edge. McCarthy is sitting this whole year out in Perth and training with South Fremantle or something...all while GWS are paying him. Id find it a lot more believable and tactful if GWS didnt have to pay him.
Then Freo miraculously goes from minor premier to dead last winning ZERO games so far...

Will be interesting to see what happens this week Freo vs Essendon...

I don't, he is nothing more than a big sook, no one put a gun to his head to re-sign at GWS, and conveniently after Freo offer him a big deal, he wants to return home, give me a spell.

I agree with Farktherest,.there's something fishy about this whole situation, hopefully GWS stick to their guns and don't make it easy for Sooky La La Cam to transfer to Freo.

Sorry if i'm not being manipulated by McCarthy's sob story (unlike Mitch Clark's case which is very sad)

Freo and McCarthy's management have used emotional blackmail in the media to try paint The Giants as heartless villains, only the mental health issue was brought up after GWS rejected Freo's (at the time) lowball trade offer.

And even if we assume McCarthy has those issues, moving closer to Mummy and Daddy isn't going to solve them (from a long term point of view)

I didn't have an opinion either way about McCarthy's situation.

But your post is ignorant in the extreme.
 
Where there is smoke there is fire. And the whole situation with McCarthy stinks to no end.

If he does have mental health issues then fair enough, do what is best by him.... But if it ever comes out that this has been a ruse by McCarthy, his manager and Freo then there should be sever repercussions for all of them. Mental health is a very serious issue, and should never be used as a leveraging tool in trades

Agreed.

It will be interesting to see how Cam goes at Freo next year and beyond.

Obviously if it's all genuine i wish him all the best, but we've seen footballers suffering from depression etc before and they struggled at times...eg Mitch Clark, Jonathan Hay.

Now if Cam's situation is so bad that he's had to move home this year and totally abandon his club, then i wouldnt expect him to play that well for Freo next year...simply moving home doesnt fix something like this if its as bad as stated.

Now if he kills it for Freo next year...the question of whether he's miraculously 'cured' or was it completely overstated to form part of a ruse will be in mind.

Can understand Sammy getting piissed off at ?Jack the way he did. Nobody would take well to being slagged off in front of their peers the way Jack did to Hamill at the B& F in 2000.

I have been told from a reliable source that McCarthy does indeed have issues.

Does an addiction get put down to a mental health issue these days?

He's in some serious trouble. He does have the support network over in WA, hence why he is currently over there.

I thought I read McCarthy had depression? Am I wrong or is that their cover story
