Re: 'Alleged' rumours resurfacing ...

Folks, this is the way things are here.

Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

Thanks all!

If someone does a shit in the swimming pool, it doesn't matter how "resilient" the other swimmers are, their experience will be effected by the shit.

I would dearly love EH to be right to go.

But I think there is zero chance that CFC publicly and privately have asked him to find another home because he has anxiety and drinks too much when he's by himself, as the Peter Ryan article suggested. There is clearly a lot more to it than that.

You talk about good culture? What good culture is NOT is being so unprofessional and amateur in you life that the club is asking you to leave, and god knows the bar for that is pretty damnhigh. I trust the new regime, who have all the info (unlike us flogs), to make that judgement call.

I have a lot of empathy for people who are struggling with mental health and addiction issues. And if Walshy can fix him, I'm here for it because I'd love a fit and well Elijah tearing down the forward flank. But I have no problem with the Club drawing a line given the number of chances he's had, and I hope he gets proper support outside of the club.
The fact that a team wasn’t willing to offer a future fourth round draft pick for him says to me that his problems are well known. And they almost certainly are not “anxiety and drinking too much by himself”

Having such a talented player sacked mid contract with no real explanation is difficult for supporters to cop.
nope - its clear (without being detailed) why he would be getting the sack

Really disappointed

Hope he gets his life together

Will trust the club, including bringing him back in if the club so chooses

Not if one side of the story has been publicly broached and published.

Tell it as it is.

No club wants to lose a good footballer.

It’s not unreasonable to think the club has its reasons for letting him go — and that it might not be in anyone’s best interest, including EJ’s, for all the details to be aired publicly.

Those two things can be true at the same time.

That's culture and leadership. Jack Silvagni is a player who wants to win at all costs. For him to jump ship confirms the club is in a massive hole and he couldn't see anything to indicate its changing anytime soon.

Jack thought he had a very discriminating taste as to what constitutes a shit club - however apparently he does not. 🤣

Such a waste, Elijah could’ve been a star

On the bright side, we have a possible replacement in Ison.

Similar size, similar HFF/mid role, similar Pendlebury-lite traits.

Fingers crossed.
