Carlton has offered Casboult a 2 year deal. Now the reason why negotiations have stalled is because it's no where near what he wants. I suspect we offered him around 350/400k a year and I've been told Brisbane have offered him a 3 year deal with much more money. Casboult wants to stay at the club but it's the money that's the issue. Glad to see SOS isn't going to pay overs for player. It's a new Carlton with SOS & Bolton at the helm.

Carlton are in negotiations with Billy Longer from St Kilda with Tom Hickey being the number 1 ruck his looking for more opportunity. Reports coming through is that him and Richardson don't see eye to eye on things. Me personally I'm not sure why we need another ruckman but this is what I'm being told.

Jack Riewoldt is apparently not happy at Richmond and looking for other options. Apparently we are interested.
Personally, I would have thought that if Jack left Richmond he'd want to go to St Kilda, but I can't see the 'Aints having what Richmond would want.
Mind you, I'm not sure we have what they want either, nor should we have the will to pay it, but there it is. Not a nice rumour.

Hey all,

Through I would pass something on that may be of interest, now I'm not saying "confirmed" or "it's 100%" but will tell you what I have seen.
I have a family member who is close to a high ranking offical at Carlton, they showed me an SMS from the offical saying " we will be looking hard at Cam Ellis-Yolman".
There were a few other names on the text that people have discussed like O'Meara but these names have already been talked about, it didn't say anything about what they would offer, if it would happen, only what I have stated.
Personally I think he would be a good get to help out Cripps, guess we will see.

Not posted in a while... passing on a few bits ive heard...
Not sure if this has already been posted, but it was actually us who knocked back Tom Mitchell. Wanted $700k a year and Blues not willing to do another 'Daisy Thomas' deal. Club has adopted a "champion team" approach - will no longer try to get that one star player, those days are done.

Having said all that, I'll echo what MS3 has previously said in that I've heard whispers we're building something huge for next year. I have no idea on the specifics, but have been told to expect us to be trading for future picks in next year's draft in order to help strengthen our position on a trade. I'm thinking we'll perhaps be trading for a player coming out of contract next year? That's only guessing.
