A mature mid that can't break into a bottom 6 side? Also would be his third club. They would see him as a list clogger. Take your suggestion to the Swans board. If they bite I will happily admit I am wrong.

Top 10 pick in a draft with little U18s exposure versus a pick that could be as low as bottom 4 or as high as top 4 in a (hopefully) considered draft class. I take the later.

Kennedy is not capable at AFL level. Proven time and time again. Marchbank is, but is injury prone. Your trades are not realistic. And you want to pay more for a promising young mid that has shown a tad versus a gun smallish forward that smashed it in the rep game earlier this year against the best of the best.

It makes zero sense.

Thanks for your wonderful insight. Ciao.

Feel free to point out where I have made errors of fact.

They're not facts. They're opinions.

I think, if given an opportunity, Kennedy has plenty of potential. Especially in a side that specialises in forcing stoppage after stoppage. You think he's a waste of space. He ain't getting the opportunity with us, so may as well try and find him a new home by working him into another trade. Papley was getting done for a first last year until Dodo happened. Slight unders, but Sydney saw an opportunity to get Daniher. Reckon a good year sees Sydney wanting a little more for him, hence top 10 pick plus player.

I clearly rate Parfitt more than you do. No biggie.

If it makes you feel better, swap the players. Pick and Marchy for Papley, Pick and <steak knives> for Parfitt.

I hope you prove me wrong on Kennedy I really do.

A first plus Marchbank for Papley would fly. Marchbank left GWS would he move to Sydney? This is something Swans will discuss though.

I still think a first is overs for Parfitt but given his improvement to date, you could be right.

Much better. Thanks for accomodating me :).

Should you email the Club or shall I text new-SOS?

Actually Weitering at full back is not ideal.
His best asset is actually his disposal from half back line.
We need a full back in a few years.
If Macreadie does not ever get his body right we probably need to continue to develop Ben Silvagni. But he is still so young and raw right now it hard to know if Ben S best position is as a key forward or key back. He might always be a swing man. I doubt Goddard is going to make it as a full back but will keep an open mind if they keep him on list next year and develop Goddard to take over full back in time.
I keep on reading posters' praise of Weitering's kicking but for me he is much too conservative. A lot of short sideway kicks bump up his disposal efficiency. He is a great kick but doesn't use it offensively enough. Docherty has on the other hand really impressed me with his kick ins. Prepared to kick long and take on risks. It has really benefited the side in moving the ball to our forwards a lot quicker. Weitering's biggest asset for me is his ability to read the flight of the ball better than any opponent.

If only we drafted a quick, hard running half back flanker that has a penetrating left boot with pick 10 in the 2017 draft..
Perhaps now could be the time to play that hypothetical player in the position he was drafted as, instead of moving midfielders to play out of position.
If only we traded for Saad. Don't think SOS rated him. Instead went to Essendon for a future draft second rounder in the 30s. Could have still kept pick 10.

Viney for free. Wines for a first round pick.

Cripps, Viney and Wines. I dare the opposition to get physical. And personally, this would be a 3-way combo I could smother in chocolate sauce and go to town on (or even one of them if they wear navy)

Would love it, but can't see Viney leaving the Dees.

Same.
I really wonder if Brayshaw may be gettable.
I like his hardness, and due to their glut of similar players he is often played out of position on a wing/HFF. Need him as an extractor in the guts.
He wouldn’t come cheap re picks as he was 3rd in the Brownlow only a few years back, but I feel Melbourne would be more open to trading him than Oliver.
Also, Melbourne would probably be keen to get back into the draft as they traded this year’s first to North for the pick they used on Pickett.

Part of the reason he is sometimes less offensive than he capable of is because he been playing more last line of defence. That's the point, if he playing half back he will has more of a licence to not be as conservative and when he does it, it tends to be high quality.
