Top 4 is interesting... Freo has an ageing list, West Coast has jumped out of the ground, most of the best Hawks are over 30, and Swans have an overaged backline and their big $ investment in Buddy could be on the rocks because he is becoming too injury prone.

Then you have sides like North that has gone for guys like Waite and DelSanto and with Harvey almost 40 and Petrie in his mid 30s.

Geelong has lost their edge due to Father Time.

Bombers list is relatively young and with one of the best spines in the competition if not THE best with another pre season put into Hurley, Carlisle, Watson (injury free), Daniher, Hooker.

LaVerde looks like a gun mid fielder.

Anthony fair call, but your opinion on Jake Long is so wrong it's not funny, and it was a rookie pick. All the players taken after were either Category B rookies, F/S rookies, or players being redrafted by their old club. I'm sure whoever you had in mind would have been a perfect candidate.

Lloyd to be able to do more than just working on goal kicking. Let him work with the forward set ups as well.

I like the optimism, but we're a long, long way off top four.

At full health, we might challenge for 7th-10th.

We've had a problem with overrating our list since Sheedy was around.
