Bound to happen WEll Done Eddie.

For anyone who read my previous thread on this exciting young man of impecible form, undeniable talent and the goal sense of a man in white..........then perhaps an appology is in order. Questioned him a bit prematurely it would seem.

Congratulations Eddie.

Sounds like there was some real commitment shown from the boys and this is a great lead up to the home and away season................

Get into em baggers.

Good to see that we put a couple of positive results on the board before the season starts, also good to see that likes of betts, waite, fisher and simpson put in impressive performances.

Interesting to note that Fox Sports had our two best players as Simpson and Fisher, our fIrst 2 picks (NO'S. 45, 72) in the initial draft we were banned from in 2002. Both had to be better picks than Goddard!!!! Thank goodness they banned us........lol....might not have got those 2 guys otherwise!!!!

Loved the first paragraph of the Fox Sport report.

CARLTON's promising pre-season continued last night with a thrilling three-point victory against Western Bulldogs at Lavington, NSW.

What a difference a few weeks makes.

The last thing we needed was a loss.

I have some hope against Melbourne, I will turn up to Telstra Dome with the hope of winning.

We should beat Melbourne... we have a better team.

I think Melbourne has a god awful list barring Roberston, Moloney, McLean and Davey (Jones will be good for them as well.)

Was great to see that Betts, Fisher and Simpsom were amongst our better players. Was also good to read in the HUN that Stevens was almost unstoppable in the midfield.

Good way to finish off the preseason and must give us some confidence going into our round one game against Melbourne.

I'm happy he played well and hope that he can continue that form in the season proper, but he's got to play more than one good game to be a good player. Too early to tell, but after watching him play in the under 18 championships a couple years back, I really want him to make. He had an uncanny ability to score goals from almost anywhere.

How far away is Saddington from playing?
He's just started full training again and he played for a half in the reserves on the weekend. He'll probably play two or three games in the reserves over the next few weeks before he gets his chance to push for senior selection.

How have AB and Carrazzo been going? Haven't heard much about them this pre-season.
Bentick probably been a little bit disappointing in the practice matches while Carrazzo has been his usually self without heavily influencing matches. He did play a game in the reserves two weeks ago, because he had a wedding to attend and couldn't play in the seniors, and had a 30 possession game kicking four or so goals which is pretty good.
