Just a thought...

We have progressed a lot over the last 18 months, and when we consider that we have the youngest list in the afl, is the 05 season going to be a big one for us.
The kids can learn a lot from yesterday's loss, and this season could be the foundation year for a few good seasons.

Wizard Cup form means nothing now.. I'd be happy if we won betweek 10-12 games this year, and then look at having a big go in the next few seasons.

1 more average season could be the catalyst for big things in the future..

Thoughts ?

Yer we r a gr8 young team but our leaders need to show the way, week in week out. Fev and Whitnall need to show leadership by helping the young guys out. Hartlett looks like the next lloyd of the AFL.

We need more time, and I reckon it will still be a few years before we will make finals consistently. The Wizard Cup win was GOOD, because it does give heart to the players and supporters and is a fair signpost of progress - nothing more.

We need to continue the list management and obviously we need to focus on beefing up the defensive half and adding a bit of speed in the midfield; a backup young ruckman wouldn't go astray either. Not all of our current list will survive and not all the draft picks will come on - that happens in every team but we need to stay RUTHLESS and weed out those who dont cut it.
