Awesome news if as expected it is confirmed. :thumbsu:

Interesting there rumoured shows are close to the Oasis Arena Shows, a return to the mid 90's britpop battle me thinks :p

F$%ing awesome!

Parklife and TGE were very good releases but people just wanting BLUR to do another <Insert Title Name Here> release don't understand BLUR.

The best thing about BLUR is that they weren't affraid to try new styles and sounds... and more often then not they could pull off any 'new' sound.

Leisure and MLiR
- different to -
PL and TGE
- different to -
Blur
- different to -
13
- different to -
Think Tank

* add to this the totally different Gorillaz project Albarn orchestrated (and still is).
* also add to this the very different singles released individually along the way like:
- "The bomb"... hard to find song now but hypnotic dance like song.
- White Noise... hidden track on Think Tank.

I can't wait to see what they push out next knowing that it will be different, unique and good quality. :D

Cheers

I understand that they want to try different musical styles but the post TGE stuff just doesn't really appeal to me although I do love Beetlebum a couple of others.

Will still give the new cd a go though if it eventuates..

Albarn has enough talent in his little finger to guarantee this will be a success. Everything else he's done has been

girls who are boys, who do girls like their girls -who do boys who do girls like their boys like their girls who do boys

always should be the ones you only LOVE
:P

Not really sure why Blur would reform?

The Verve and now Blur?

Seems a bit odd, but goodluck to Albarn and co.

Was listening to the BEst of Blur CD the other day and they have written some nice tunes.

Would be nice to see the odd timers Blur and Oasis go toe to toe again.

Both those bands make todays bands look like the lightweights they are.

Even Noel Gallagher admits Graham Coxon is one of the most brilliant guitarists of his time ;)

As much as I hate Oasis, i'll give em one thing. They are a real rock and roll band and there ain't many of the around these days.

I'd like to think that with the original lineup in harness, that Blur will also show they too are a real rock n roll band, and remind people of the sort of energy and vitality that is sorely missing from the scene these days.
