Board awards part 2. Yeah! Nominations are in alphabetical order; Designer of the Year has been absorbed into Poster of the Year; maximum two votes per poll (not yourself).
Thread of the Year
Gibbsy – The real reason behind Collingwood’s 2001 guernsey change
An in-depth look into historical photos and newspaper articles to uncover the justification behind the Pies' controversial change.
Greater Gattsby – How to create a football kit template in Illustrator
A remarkably detailed, 36-step tutorial into creating a template that should be a must-read for anyone new to the board. Reminiscent of the famous old Microsoft Paint/Word Tutorial released on Xmas Eve many years ago.
Maxwell110 – The Meaning of a Jumper
A passionate and well-written thread into the tradition and meaning behind what colours on fabric can really represent.
NM_Mitchell – Template Feedback Thread
Superb use of the 'Workshop' prefix to encourage everyone to submit their templates and have it critiqued by other members of the board; has resulted in a site-wide increase in template quality.
stormy2 – The Clash-Contrast Spectrum: How our terminology affects our interpretation
A really great way to shut up the uneducated on the 'clash jumper' issue – show them this thread. Seriously. It's brilliant.
stormy2 – Improving Execution
What started as a helpful tip to Cody ended up turning into a worthwhile thread about the little finishing tips needed to make a guernsey present just that bit better.
Most Improved Poster of the Year
Cody_ – Has worked extremely hard on taking suggestions to improve his templates and can see the product of that through his new designs, has toned down the off-topic posts too.
Fizzler – I originally only had six in this poll as well but it was too hard to leave the big Fizz out. You just can't argue that his designing hasn't improved astronomically for such a young member. Always looking to take on ideas from the community which is great.
Klim – Presentation has stepped up a big notch and the absence of an old foe on this board has seen Klim slot nicely into the FJGD community.
matty6 – Friendly, always participating in discussion, part of the 'firstname/number' username crew, what's more to say!
Maxwell110 – Has been around for quite a while but really stepped it up this year with his presentation as the bar was raised once more. Current co-ordinator of the NAFL reserves.
NM_Mitchell – A big contender in the NAFL Reserves through some quality designing; is also great with how-to's and welcoming new members.
Spanna_ – Still at a tender age but has come along in leaps and bounds from how he was when he first arrived, great to have around the board.
