So it's a slightly less severe version of the Christopher Lane killing? People (who mostly appear to be young African-American males) with nothing to do see violence as a way of reducing boredom.

I hold faith that most young people are able to empathise with potential victims and can distinguish right and wrong.

Sounds like a real media beat up. I hardly think this is going to catch on.

Source? I've heard of two "king hit" incidents (Kelly & Christie), which sound more like drunken thugs being drunken thugs. Never heard anything to suggest youths are playing this as a "game".

Basic media staple - show horrible people doing horrible things to get viewers to be outraged by it. If you can come up with a name for it all the better.

Problem is that the attention they draw to it only serves to encourage those doing it because of the attention being generated.

Meanwhile investigation/discussion of what is happening in society that leads people to randomly punch harmless bystanders in the head is completely ignored

Why would the Police deny a trend in violence if there's evidence of it? There's no reason for them to do that. Yet, Fox News has all the reason to make shit up and they do it all the time.

Why is the video you posted mostly about one case where neither police, the victim, nor the perpetrator (everyone involved in the incident) say the attack was the result of a game?

This "game" if it is to be called that isnt anything new, been happening for a while. The above case is the clown recording himself however there have been other cases where gangs tape their mates doing it and upload the videos. I cant find the links right now but when I have more time Ill see if I can dig them up.

It's hard to tell but the ones they showed it didn't look like there was anyone recording on a phone. Obviously, doesn't mean that other similar ones are recorded - I wouldn't know
