This photo is brutal. The way he walked off when the poster photo was taken. It's a shame he was caught in it.

You're right...zero relevance to anyone's AFL memories ever.james hird has zero relevance.
Maybe you are underestimating how important Bob Murphy was on and off the field to win this Premiership.
If the playing group are happy with him holding the cup and the coach even gives him his medal, then he probably was a big influence on them winning a Premiership.

Its a joke, never should have gotten up. He has made it all about him, he didn't have to accept the medal from the **** roach, he didn't have to carry on like a pork chop and carry the cup around like an infant child, he didn't have to hold it up at the Whitten Oval. Piss off mate, its about the 22, not you.
Wow, amazing photo. This photo is brutal. The way he walked off when the poster photo was taken. It's a shame he was caught in it.

Got nothing against the bloke but the media fawning all over him is becoming tiring.

Beveridge is the most loved man in the country right now and the majority of Bulldogs players are getting plenty of love.I love how we've gone from being everyones 2nd team to being hated since winning the flag. It's glorious!

Don't ever recall him being up on the podium in 2005 or 2012. Happy to be wrong though. Do whatever you want back in the rooms/family day/whatever afterwards, but perhaps let the 22 get their moment first up on the dias (most years even the coaches take a step back at this point).
Maybe Bob Murphy is overestimating how important Bob Murphy was to Bob Murphy's team mates winning the cup.
FWIW, lots of people behind the scenes are important to clubs winning flags.
Nobody, EVER, in the history of the AFL in that position has pranced onto the stage on grand final day, was given a medal by the coach and held up the cup.
