The heroics of those passengers to bring their hijacked plane down in Pensylvania (sp?) was emotional. When I go to NY start of next year I will be sure to visit GZ, I'm sure I'll have shivers running down my spine.

Listening to classical music always makes me wish I stuck with playing the piano. But then the trademark short attention span kicks in.

We live in an era of instant gratification. In the computer age, whenever you click on something, you expect something to happen. It makes me wonder what will happen to pursuits that require intense concentration, a bit like the way 20/20 has diverted players away from Test cricket. Maybe we should all follow Kirky's lead and take up meditation.

I was in NY last month, and strangely when I passed Ground Zero I didn't feel as emotional as I thought. You will probably see it when you go, but it feels like business as usual in that part of downtown, with all the construction going on and shoppers going about their business in Century 21, the massive department store across the street. I guess New York really is the city that never sleeps, its resilience and capacity to recover from such devastation is remarkable.

One of my cousins was working in the second tower when the first plane hit, luckily she managed to escape before the second plane arrived but she lost a lot of friends & colleagues. I didn't know her back then, and we only met for the first time last month, but I can't imagine what it must have been like when it happened.
 
Boys and Girls now that the SF thread is gone, I will post here. The Sahara desert has seen more rain then me!

Shuuuuuush you! At least 9 months of it was voluntary! And as for the other months.. IVE DESPROUTED AND LOST MY CHARMS!!'


On another note, haven't played the piano in that long to finally do some exercises and have finger control after months of no playing feels amazing!

Actually I dropped out altogether. He was a beautiful boy & very healthy. So that had better not be sarcasm! He looks just like his father.
