It's always an awkward event. Not many awards to hand out and the atmosphere isn't relaxed at all. Brownlow at least has a party feel to it, so it has a much better flow through the night.

Goodes finished 4th, so good recognition from the players.

I'm actually a bit turned off from the Melbourne Football Club because of the way their supporters are carrying on. You'd think they're the only club in history to lose a player for the almight dollar. The thread on their board is pathetic. Geelong supporters didn't react that way when Ablett left, but then again, the Cats supporters have more class.
