Bollinger>Siddle

My bad thought you guys were talking about him being poor against England.
Fine if you guys want to pluck out some poor series then Peter Siddle 3 wickets against WI at 70 geez that is pretty poor.
Yep. Thats where this flaw in the 'Oh Bollinger hasnt gotten wickets against quality opposition' theory is, he still comfortably outbowled those around him against said average opposition, including Siddle.

And as stated earlier, took match figures of 5/81 or so against India, the one time he had an oppertunity against top 3 opposition

Gotta hope Siddle does well tomorrow regardless of whether he should be in the team or not. I don't care who it is wearing the Baggygreen I will always support them 100%. Lets hammer the Poms.
If a lion was about to kill me and someone threw me a knife, I would hope for the best with the knife, as it's all I've got now. I still would have preferred it if he threw me his gun though, rather than wasting it on domestic disputes.

:D

We have a gun, the problem is the sight is dodgy and it will probably miss the lion and hit the acacia tree 20 yards away.

That's weird then..
Him not being absolutely right is the only possible way I thought they could leave him out.

Hmm..

Well im not sure now either :D

Reports said he was going to leave the squad with smith to join back up with NSW to play in the next shield game. But i saw him on tv this morning so who knows.

Who is 12th man btw?

NSW dont play untill Saturday so no rush

But going to back to NSW shows they feel he lacks match fitness, otherwise he would stay around due to the lack of break between NSW shield game and 2nd test

He's only playing the first 2 days

siddle 4 pm ;)

good spell from him. this is why people rate him. if he pitches the ball up more he will be a far more succesful test bowler.

watching johnson he'll have an anxious wait if he doesn't lift his game. that was a very very poor spell of bowling pre and post lunch.

Johnson has not been impressive at all I don't think, Siddle has had 2 good spells... Watson has bowled well as well..
Hopefully they have learnt that the short shit isn't working on this pitch at the moment and keep the ball pitched up..

Nice of the real Siddle to stand up, he is brilliant when he wants to be and especially when he gets a wicket. Can't really give the selectors credit for this move, it was defaulted on them given they stated Bollinger wasn't picked due to fitness issues if they had said Bollinger was dropped for Siddle then throw all the credit their way.

My thoughts exactly, but no doubt they'll all be smelling their own farts at the moment and giving each other high fives at their good fortune.

Edit: Lol he strikes again....wow!

Can someone give me an update as to Siddle's pace?

Has ranged from 130km/h to 146km/h. Obviously the latter has come when he got his confidence up after a wicket. Pretty much bowling like he did against SA at the MCG and I'm guessing how he bowled in the Shield final against NSW.

His opening spell was around 130-135 - and it was poor.

When he has the pace he has when he debuted - around 145 - he is not only quicker, but it swings as well.

I think he struggles to keep it there due to his back injuries. He actually looks dangerous around the 135km/h mark right now and when he gets a wicket he seems to go to another level.
