A few things to take from this:

1. The club and Bolton firmly believe in our medium / long term vision that we are still alive
2. Part of that long term plan would have involved securing key talent to ensure $$ available for our next trade target.
3. He has taken unders to stay with us, we wont be paying anything close to what his worth on the open market is, especially if he held off talks next year.
4. Our culture is king and the way we are running the club behind the scenes is first rate!

Word is 5 years extension from next year at $800000 per year. A steal if it's true. A superstar in the making, if not already and a big tick on the culture which encourages players to want to recommit. Looking forward to next year and beyond.
