Good bloke
Anyone else notice bombers negativity regarding 6 day breaks?

He is quoted on it in this article here and I reckon I've heard him bring it up every week it occurs.

Surely a 6 day break is just part of the game and something which every club would go through on a regular basis.
I added up Collingwood's 6 day breaks, and tonight's game will be there 6th for the year.

Does Thompson need to be a bit more thick skinned on this issue?

Yeah, I've noticed that Bomber is a bit worried about them.

I wouldn't have thought it would make too much of a difference, but not being an AFL footballer then I wouldn't know. Maybe it is really taxing having 6 day breaks, going to Perth and back etc. It would have a toll later on in the year if we still had 6 day breaks maybe.

It shouldn't be an issue from now on because we don't have many after this.

It's an issue throughout the entire club, LB.

Most in the football department sook about it.

Probably depends if you're a good side or not. The good teams usually get the prime time slots and therefore aren't thrown around as often as the lower clubs.

Interesting that Brian Cook thinks that eventually the AFL will do what happens in America, where we'll pick the fixture as normal but decide what day and time in 6 week timeslots.
