Whilst we have won 15 straight and there is much
reason to complain, I think our set-up in the foward line
in recent weeks, is a problem.

Last night, Lloydy was constantly asking for players to
move out to give him some space to lead into, surely it
is a problem when the leading goalkicker in the
competition, doesn't think he has enough space to lead
into.

I think the problem, is playing Lloyd, Allessio and Lucas
and/or Fletcher in the foward line at the same time;
there just isn't enough room for all three of them, and it
plays into the hands of teams who haven't already
decided that they will play a loss man in defence, like
the Eagles and the Swans have done in the last couple
of weeks. This is compounded by the fact that we have
no small foward in the mould of Moorcroft or Power from
Brisbane to swoop on the crumbs.

I think there should only be two key fowards for most of
the time. This should be Lloyd and Lucas, plus Moorcroft
(we need him) and other small fowrds such as Mecuri.
the midfielders, like Blumfield and co will also come in
on the act. Surely this is the best way to go?

Any thoughts???

I think so.

Last night, the Eagles rebounded from defence with ease, with Andrew Donnelly, playing a loose man and taking 10 first half marks.

The problem was that the forward line was too crowded.

n perfect conditions, under a closed roof, we only managed 15 goals against a side out of the eight. This is from Essendon, remember, who have the best attack in the competition.

The Eagles negative tactics contributed to that, I suppose.

I'd leave our forward line a bit more open.

It's a huge danger game against the Power this week. Forget the fact, they are 15th. That's irrelevant. They have won their last three, and have been impressive in doing so. They are now confident, they will be playing at home, and have nothing to lose.

I'm worried we might not be on the ball this week. Hird is out too.

what it seems to be is a tactic employed by eade last week amd now judge, to basically say- we dont care how much we score so long as we slow you down.
both teams flooded our forward line because most teams know they will NEVER beat us in a shootout. Its all about keeping it a low scoring game as much as possible.
Make no mistake bombers fans- we will see this all year from now on.
