In late 2001, I registered on BigFooty. It's a great site, and in the last nearly 4 years I've posted plenty of drivel, lots of unintelligible gibberish and an occasional coherent point.
My user name came from 2 sources - the mighty Essendon football club, which remains my number 1 sporting passion, and the Northern Spirit soccer club which was then participating in the National Soccer League.
Northern Spirit, like the NSL, is no more and the user name is therefore somewhat redundant. So as of this post, I'll be retiring the Bomber Spirit name...

G&F, how about changing your orig profile. So that people can see that you are a 5000 post Bigfooty veteran and not some teenage girl wanting to swap Lloydy and Hird swapcards. ;)

I think it's good that he let us know he's changed his username. There are a lot of people on here that have changed their username and sometimes you can't work out who they were originally. But yeah G&F you should have sent a request to the mods. They changed mine for me no probs.

Well it will be as of about 10pm on Saturday night! ;)

Some of us do not wish to forget the pain of a certain match at the same venue a couple of seasons back. Several of us Big Footy Swannies were reduced to tears that day.

That and the Jarrod Poulton Port match are days that will NEVER leave the memory of Swans diehards.

It's been a while since she's posted on here.
I'll be watching the game at the Aussie Rules Club with her & warfes_babe tomorrow night. But if the Swans win (and they're no certainties, despite the ladder position - in some ways I wouldn't mind being wrong, but I've got a feeling the Bombers might do some damage to the Swans' top 4 hopes), I doubt she'll be consoling me, more like rubbing it in lol.
