At the direction of one of the informed red and black illiterates (Eastaugh -delisto) I visited Bomber Talk on the official Essendon FC web site.

Is it still under construction or is that the way it operates always..that is...it doesnt!

What a disaster for a club that is supposedly loaded, the graphics are stuffed and I think it is a bit like the earth in Malty's quoting of Confucious with the Essendon rabble being the oxes..you know the earth is slow but the ox is patient...

It is crap. In a flag year. Probably because of verbal diarrohea overload. So they com on to BFB.

By they way DANNO, Collingwood is in it worst run of missing the finals ever - 6 years in a row, I am sure Essendon's record on this front is considerbaly worse...would I be astray if I said 12 years?

And how big were Essendon crowds in their three wooden spoon years?

How am I supposed to know? You have to go back to the 1930's and I have NO idea what our crowds would have been.

One thing Collingwood has been good at is making the finals. They've done it 72 times. But we have won more Grand Finals, and we have won more finals matches.

True, we didn't make the finals at all in the 1930's. it was our darkest era.

I might add, that when Collingwood get the 2001 wooden spoon, they will equal Essendon. We have won 3 "spoons" and Collingwoodenspoon are closing in.

The 1930's weren't too flash for a number of groups outside Essendon - Germans, Poles, Russians etc etc..... so don't feel too bad about it !
