Essenbum are back - they won - or they should considering they are 50+ points up 3 minutes to go.

Let's hear all the wonderful prostrations as to how they won please? specially in a very ordinary game.

And who could forget 'look at what hird did when injured?'

Damn it was good to see some desperation out there tonight. Bad luck about Barry & Wharfe, full credit to Sydney for fighting out the game, but bloody well done bombers.

Just goes to prove that Essendon are like the Man United of AFL. (both scum

) and both paying lots of money for higher calibre players than others can't afford. Only dif is that there is supposed to be a salary cap in AFL !!!!!!!!!!

Yeah Dutchy....i'm a scouser alright! Go the mighty Reds! Sander's fresh air shot in the 2nd half had me crapping my dacks, but Gary Mac well taken pen. did the job. It wasn't pretty, but it "was" effective. Great win nonetheless. I hope Aleves don't turn out to be a Wimbledon.

Still on track for a rare treble. but i must say....how good is the Spanish League. 2 in the semis of the UEFA and 2 in the semies of the CL!

Essendon have not gone out to "buy" players in order to achieve a short-term gain. Essendon's success had been achieved due to great recruiting.....nothing less. The sad thing is...the salary cap rewards mediocrity, and penalises success....recruiting success. Essendon have been effecient in this regard, and i believe that fact cannot be denied!
