What makes it better, is that we still have a few good players to come back into an already strong lineup.
Hird and Lloyd didn't have a mighty big influence on the game even though Lloyd kicked his usual bag of 4, i thought he was well held today by Grover.

Only dissapointing aspect of the game was Welsh's injury could keep him out for up to 3-4 weeks.

Iam not sure why people are saying Lloyd didn't play well he played his role very well and presented all day, just because he's playing up the ground doesn't mean he hasn't played well.

One good thing out of people thinking Lloyds not playing that well is Lucas finally gets some recogntion. Brad Johnson kicks 8 he gets called a superstar and all the attention, Lucas kicks 7 and got ohh played a good game. This week and the rest of the year he will start getting the praise he deserves.

What a good team win! Obviously there were stand out performances, but I was really happy how well we played as a team, everyone stood up when they needed to. I thought the lesser mentioned workmen in Slattery and Watson played great in tight and gotta say Pevrille and Heff were important and desparate.

I was a little nervous when freo charged and hit the lead, but we showed great composure to keep control and score when we went into our forward entries. Can't recall which section of play but late in the 3rd qtr I think we went into 50 four times and scored four goals. It took the pressure off...the supporters that is. I was crapping myself

Tarrant/Pavelich combo is going to trouble some teams this year for sure.

I didn't say Lloyd played badly. I said i thought he didn't have much influence on the game but still managed to kick his usual bag of four goals.
I also went on to say that i thought Lloyd was well held by Grover.
When, did i say Lloyd played badly? If anything he played very well and i included him in my best players for this game.
He had a handful of disposals and kicked 4 goals out of it.

He did his job, provided a foil and exerted his presence as usual. Id say he had a massive influence out there.
