I mean I don't even care that Ana De Armas isn't British. Make her the next Bond.

Would prefer something more episodic personally, seems a little bit too Universe-y now for my tastes. Casino Royale getting a sequel in QoS is fair enough, but Spectre doesn't really need it.

Not sold on Fukunaga either after his last few films. Trust he'll deliver a competent film, but expecting a ceiling of mediocrity.

Said this exact thing today. It's my biggest issue with the 'Craig era'. Feels more Bourne than Bond. A little too personally connected to Bond as well.

He's too old anyway. Craig, at 51, is the 2nd oldest Bond ever (after Roger Moore who was 57 at the time of his last movie)

Whoever the next Bond is, they'll almost certainly have to be the their 30's, or maybe early 40s at worst) and not 47 like Idris Elba is

You know that, in many bond flicks, you could really drop the word non between science and fiction.

Lashana Lynch looks badass. If they ever decide to go female Bond I wouldn't mind seeing her take over the franchise..

Gives off a desperate vibe for unfettered tentpole theatrical release. Delaying a film from early 2020 to late 2021. A well-received Bond at this point would aim for a billion gross worldwide. The commercial expectation is just that little bit higher than new Nolan and Wonder Woman. You could imagine the Eon/MGM stake refusing streaming. I mean, when was the last time a Bond film brought in a loss? If ever? That's the enduring cash-cow context I guess.

One more delay and it will be a longer gap than Dalton-Brosnan (6 1/3 yrs). It would have been really cool if they'd somehow managed to make a film with the next Bond in the interim, and ran them as a double header in 2022 or something.
