Has anyone else noticed that the Bont will often lick his fingers during a game? Often before a centre bounce or at a stoppage before the ball is thrown up he can be seen to lick his fingers. It's like when someone is reading a book they will lick the finger to moisten it which helps to turn the page.
My question is: does anyone have a theory to explain this behaviour? Do the moist fingers grip the ball better? Is there some other reason?
I know this might sound weird but I'm being 100% serious. If you don't believe me, watch for yourself during the game this weekend or on a replay. He can be seen licking his fingers throughout the match.
