Do you have a better source for what Christians believe?

My contention was the notion that the bible made one ‘informed’.

If the original comment related to the content of the bible as opposed to the information contained within, then that’s my mis-reading the original post

In fact there would be a time where christianity was the latest cult phenomenon - I bet they weren't quoting 'ancient wisdom' back then. It was probably more like "a great new religion relevant to the times we live in"

Perhaps Christianity has had its day, just like the stuff it replaced before it.

I see a lot more 'christian' behaviour outside churchies these days. Ablett and Folau being perfect examples.

I have studied Stoicism, Marcus Aurelius and Seneca for quite some time, read countless books on the Stoic philosophy and I have to say if we all adopted just an ounce of their teachings this world would be a much better place. I respect christianity and went to a catholic school, however I don't really abide or live by their book, nor do I care if someone does. The less we all give a shit about eachothers business the better in my eyes.

Against hawthorn it’s simple, he is an absolute super player in his prime and arguably the face of our greatest rival so of course he is going to get booed.
If I was at the game I would definitely boo him regardless of his religious beliefs.

The irony is you have no idea. As someone who went to a catholic school and understands the bible (although have not studied it like I did as a kid), I can tell you that both the old and New Testament reference it’s condemnation of all those topics Israel posted about.

Whilst I don’t subscribe or believe in what Israel said/posted, his views are inherently insensitive and prehistoric.. I really don’t think it was the reason GAJ was booed, he has been booed and jeered many many times.

Ablett only took down his "like" due to public backlash. He's far from a moral compass. Changes his beliefs depending upon which way the public goes.

FWIW - I would also be going to hell just like bumps, but instead of belittling Israel and taking away his livelihood and professional career, I’d love for the powers to be to sit down with him and understand how he got to the point where he felt he needed to publicly shame so many. Damn, I’d love to sit down with the guy, he is a fascinating character, someone who seems to have a soft public persona with boyish looks and natural charisma. There has to be something amiss for him to post something like that.

GAJ as we know is deeply religious and that is totally cool, as much as you may think religion or believing in something greater than us/here is crazy, those that believe feel the same about you. There needs to be an understanding and acceptance of all people’s views and beliefs, this is where the 2 sides of politics and the “right and left” are worlds apart.

Anyway, long live the booing, people can do it and I actually think it’s cool that our supporters may have started a trend with GAJ who is, as you said a little campaigner.
