By all means, go ahead and bookmark it too :)
Absolutely! Seriously, the whole point of this OP is to make predictions that we will revisit in time.

GHS played like a dog today but so did half the team.

After watching GHS today I can't see him getting a game in the seniors. Looks too slow

His lack of speed was pretty conspicuous on a few occasions today - and it's previously been commented upon on this board by a few people. His decision-making is pretty sharp and he *thinks* quickly, but he can certainly be exploited for his lack of toe here and there.

GHS is one of the guys I'm more confident in becoming a regular, he's the last of my concerns to be honest.
I'm more worried about the coaching staff who need to make sure the team can adjust in game to the flooding tactics used by Fremantle and finding a way to stop consecutive goals within a short period of time because the Geelong team under Bomber Thompson would never choke away leads of 20 points or more heading into last quarters.
There's a lot of things the bomber coached Geelong team would do differently and that is because they were an incredibly talented team at the height of their powers.
Hardly fair to contrast them with current team.
ps. that team did cough up a GF they should have won by 6 goals.

Ran out of legs mate, has zero endurance base.
Give him 2 more pre-seasons and then judge IMO.
Have watched him a couple of times this year and I just don't think he has 'it'....
Was a speculative pick anyways, hey I'd love to be proven wrong

Maybe it depends when you see him because I've seen him twice and he has done something pretty special which gives me hope.
Like you said though, he was pick 77 or something, can't expect much.

And for him to actually make it at senior level.

You mean like winning a Rising Star nomination in his 4th senior game? Or getting coaches' votes against Melbourne and praise from Scott - right before getting dropped.

Yet again, another youngster that has to prove he's made it before he even gets to the seniors. What a joke.

He does make Cameron Ling look like Usain Bolt.

He has to be able to break into the side before we can talk about leadership.

Absolutely agree.

Sherringham looked a much better prospect in yesterday's game.

dont get that saying .
are judd and ablett once in a gen players? Both from the same draft
Nope but can you think of any medium or small defenders as good as Enright this generation?

Just on Horlin-Smith, he did look slow yesterday but games go like that when you don't have the ball and you are a player of his type.

Mitchell has looked slow a few times when chasing after Cotchin or Daniel Wells, but he was there shovelling that ball out on Friday night with a quicker brain than our men.

Also Horlin-Smith is late too football in elite programs, he has not done as much training as someone like Caddy. I thought he improved dramatically in his appearance over the summer.

Horlin-Smith and Caddy actually compliment each other beautifully. Caddy is a straight ahead bull, he is a wrecking ball and will dominate teams physically. Horlin-Smith is a cleverer player, not endowed with athletic gifts, but he gets to the fall of the ball quicker than any player on our list and has wonderful vision.

We have plenty of pace on the outside, we just need someone who can get to them and shark the ball like a Mitchell or Barlow or Mundy. No coincidence they are the three players who have killed us in our last 3 losing finals, never won a sprint between them.

Joel Selwood will be leading the Brownlow medal count heading into the final round before getting overtaken by Sam Mitchell and finishing equal 2nd along with Gary Ablett Junior.
Big call. You in cohoots with Veedubs? He's calling a Hawk clean sweep of everything and has 2 out of 2 already (Box hill and Eastern Ranges)

HMac will be fit, but forced to play VFL most of the year due to Dawson Simpsons form, and partnership in the ruck with Vardy.

Yep!... Once the medal hope hung on Joel's game vs the Lions, and Jr. had over 30 possies with 4 goals vs GWS, it was all over :(

Still an excellent night for the Cats. We should all be proud.

Joel 'Charlie' Selwood
One vote! Bloody Stevie J. If only he wasn't so flashy and eye catching with his brilliance, Joel would have been up on the podium!!
