I'm getting the Asics Tigreors this year, usually I get the Gel Lethal Ultimate sneaker looking boots, my feet have always been bad, and have got authotics this year. Will the Tigreors be ok for my feet?

I was going to do exactly what your about to do. But when I was in the store deciding on the Gel Lethal's or the Tigreors, the chick said that the stud pattern on the Tigreor's have given some people heaps of discomfort, and she said the added support in the Gel Lethal's would be better for my orthotics and feet. So I settled on the Gel Lethals.

Shit, didn't want to hear that lol. Hopefully it's okay.

Yeah hopefully you will be fine. But there is this one big stud on the boot that has been given people mega blisters apparently, even after the boot has been broken in. So I settled for the "better safe than sorry" way of thinking. :thumbsu:
Yeah a few of my mates have got blisters but apparantly the new style is different

Ah crap, you couldn't have told me before I bought last year's model? :(

Ah well, I'm used to blistered feet during the footy season. So long as it hardens up all gross like, it's not too big a deal.

Asics don't have any of the boots in my size/model left in Australia, hopefully a few stores around the place do.

So following on from my OP, I continued on with my Puma's. Except when I put new orthotics in on Wednesday, I had about 3 layers of skin peeled off of my heels. This was the final straw, so I asked the parents nicely if I could have an early birthday present. Went and bought these bad boys yesterday

Guy at rebel really recommended them and I pictured them as as the ones I wanted. Plus as I signed up as a rebel member on the say I got 20% off, so it ended up about $176. Hopefully these will be better for me!

I'm getting the exact same pair any day now, had them on order for about a month actually.

What does the greenish colour look like?

It a very fluoro green, like a high visibility vest green. Very comfy boots though, as soon as I put them on I could feel they were gonna be the ones.

When it comes to boots (or shoes in general), be wary of the show pony brands like Adidas and Nike, unless you're willing to pay top dollar for their good boots. The cheaper models which are made to look like their more expensive counterparts, are complete rubbish. Although if you're willing to buy a good model from a season or two ago, they are generally quite cheap on ebay.

Brands like asics and mizuno put far more effort into research and development, and less into cosmetics. Not that they make bad looking boots by any means, but you'll be far less likely to find your favourite "I'm cool because I'm a metrosexual" pink or pastel colour varieties.

I currently play in asics lethal testimonials, both the firm and soft ground boots, and they are fantastic. Retail for around $230 at most sport shops, regularly available on ebay in both varieties for between $60-$140 including postage. I also think that the indigenous model is one of the best looking boots around.

If you don't like asics, others I would recommend are Puma Kings, Adidas Copa Mundials or Nike Mercurial Vapor III's (the best of the MV models).

unsure whether its because of numerous sprained ankles and liagament damage or just the extra cushioning but i mush prefer the asics boots that have the wider sole and extra heel support... Am currently running these...

Loving my Tigreors, haven't got a blister and have been wearing them for about a month now. They kick well, are extremely light, have good traction, would recommend them to anyone!

Pretty much exactly the same for me, although they were a little uncomfortable during the first week of training with them

its funny how people evaluate their boots.

a few poeple have spoken about their boots, and i also pay attention to how it comes of the boots and the traction (i must admit most boots are the same unless they are very very bad in these categories) but the main thing i look for is comfort and if my feet or lower legs do not get any injuries or niggles over time. this is due to havening some bad expereinced with boots and injuries.

what do most people look for?
