Hey Guys,

www.bigcricket.com/forum/

this is bigfooty's sister site and has a very large local board discussion area similar to the footy one here. What we are striving is to make it as successful as bigfooty and as large as it is. So why not come over to the great site, start up a thread in the local board and get the cricket discussion going over there!!!!

Hope to see you over there

Mav aka Guru (admin)

this one is supposed to be dederang free

On the serious side,Darren Peterson is to leave our association and join The Wangaratta & District comp again.
I believe he will line up for Rovers United in the coming season.
Hope they have directions to the toilets at all thier grounds.
I wonder how much money Easts will be saving now Peterson and Gough are going? Are they losing anyone else? It would be great for the comp if they drop a few rungs down the ladder.:thumbsu: If they are so strong why don't they field A and B district sides?:confused::confused:

just wondering how much lavi is paying for there import.it will be great for cricket in the area.its all pretty quite around the traps.how will raiders go ???

I've heard this news lately on the grapevine:-

* Markham (Nth Albury) to either Titans or Dederang
* Purtell (Yack) to New City

Furze to New City
Pushy to Raiders
McLaine to Belvoir
Bidgood to Cudgewa
Kite to Camberwell Magpies

yack looks like you will have to spend some neville this season !!!! players leaving because they don't want to play higher level is week.but club hoping is nothing new.can the ranga's train reach the final station this season??? they have lost a couple but Marmo may return before xmas when he finds how hard it will be across the river.Raiders and Warriors will be a good mix and hopefully more then one flag across the board.

Strong rumours suggesting Belvoir coach Daniel Athainitis has stepped down from his position at the club.
Dont know the full story but I would imagine it would be too late to find a replacement now.:confused:

well the bigcricket is full of provincal players talking about their ego's.not much else going there but i have some rumors.
first one is that the ranga train may have signed a quick left armer!!!
second one is that a handful of lower grade kiewa players are off to the titans!!!!
just remember this could just rumors and have truth in it.:thumbsu:

Could be a few players come into town from the Holbrook & District league.

Ben Weckart is already signed to play in town, with the possibility of 2 or 3 following him.
Also, heard a rumour North has picked up 3-4 from Culcairn's flag side from last year, probably wont be top-line A-graders but could fill gaps in the A's&B's

weckert is a hack.....he should stay on the golf course

I see the CAW draw has been released (finally), not many surprises there. As for the 20/20 comp i personally think its a complete waste of time. We are CAW not the IPL our players barely have the skills to play 15/15 let alone 20/20. Maybe we can draft one test player into each team to liven things up:p

What is the truth that Marmo was training with Baranduda a couple of weeks ago and hadn't trained with North? That would make for an interesting clearance wrangle if he lodged one to the Rangers after what happened with Julian Day sitting out half of last season. By all reports the Raiders/Warriors mix has been successfull so far and will be fielding 5 sides across the Provincial and District competitions.:thumbsu:

What would be the skill differences in 15/15 compared to 20/20? you must have been serious, because in no way was that statement funny. ****

If CAW is keen to make 20/20 work why are they playing lower grade games on carpet rather than turf? Les Cheesley Oval, Birallee Park and Willow Park are sitting idle this weekend. Surely the association want to provide the best facilities for their players if they want it to be embraced by players from all grades. What is the point of Provincial second grade players travelling into the bush to play 20/20 games at inferior third grade grounds:confused::confused::confused: I know i would rather spend the day at the Cox Plate than play in the middle of a racetrack.

well the season is off to a flyer.whit some teams still finding there feet.anyway just reading on big cricket the 4 pages of marmo.its so funny how a little word called ego can start something like that.is there a upset on the cards this week with barny making plenty against the rangas.......the waiders mergers is going nicely...just back on the rangas i see there c grade forfited on the weekend.was the bullioh end of season trip on????? anyway lets keep this alive and a marmo free zone....

Congrats to the Great Man for making a ton at Leeton on Sunday pity the side could only manage 9 of the selected players to turn up. Who were the two players who failed to show? Dunno if Boothy would of been rapt filling going 2 hours to only field and bat number 11. At one stage it looked like Cammo would've had to don the whites (better than Carla though:D) although his is a fine player at the Raiders 20/20 games.

The Willow Park wicket came in for some criticism during the week after the Baranduda vs Kiewa game, however the game was switched at late notice from Baranduda with maintance still being done to the equipment. Don't be surprised if it a far better track this week. Who was the clown who laid the wrong turf at Baranduda??? Now the ground is out of action for this season and Mr Erdeljac will have a few more grey hairs trying to find a replacement ground for their seconds.:)

mate none of the district second graders are happy about the current situation either. they never play on synthetic either and to do so in 20/20 is a load of shit. its very embarassing and gives provincial clubs the wrong idea about the district comp. some of the grounds being used for the second grade 20/20 certainly arent fit for use in senior cricket, what was the go with using dederang 2? it was embarrasing for the district clubs hosting tallangatta and raiders and a shithouse days cricket
