Issue there of no preparation to acclimatise to the hot, humid, India conditions. By the time 8 and 9, both decent bats, come to bat the bowlers were stuffed. We should have gone early even if we played warm up games in Sri Lanka (given India would give us green tops in warm up games). We'd have got used to spinning tracks, albeit not Indian ones, and stifling weather conditions.
