My first time preordering with them too, also with this game. From reviews I've heard they're really good but the game might come a bit later then you expected.

As Xtreme921 said, it wont get to you on the release day. They'll ship it a day or two before release, and it will get to you within 2 weeks. My orders from there usually come pretty fast. About a week on average.

Honestly, given the fact that a) You could've waited and seen what the general opinion was on the DLC before spending your cash (instead of blindly buying) and b) This game isn't the first game, so why does another game's DLC tarnish what is looking like an absolutely superb game? I thought the Zombie Island of Dr. Ned was pretty good, added quite a few missions and decent enemies. But horde mode on any game is usually pretty good especially when playing multiplayer.

I liked Borderlands, I just couldn't get back into the game after being extremely disappointed with Underdome Riot. Yes, it was that bad. Sonic games were once good, but would you honestly buy any of the newer titles after Sonic the Hedgehog(2006)?

I would if I were under the impression that there was going to be a good one. All it takes is a bit of research to realise what a good game is going to be and Borderlands 2 certainly looks fantastic.

Take away an insignificant piece of DLC and you would still like the Borderlands franchise, considering that this is an improved version of what you liked in the first place (again with DLC that you DON'T HAVE TO PLAY) there should be no reason to skip it.

It'd be like skipping the entire Assassin's Creed franchise after the abomination that was AC1.

I'm sure Borderlands 2 will be a good game, the reason I'm not getting it is due to resentment towards the developers for releasing that awful piece of crap, and not even apologizing for it. Assassin's Creed started poorly, but has improved dramatically ever since, Borderlands started very well, but then then they released a broken piece of DLC because they're too lazy to make proper adjustments to the level scaling, and charge $10-$12 for it. That just really irritates me.

If you still want a proper reason, I still have several games I haven't even played yet that I bought during the Steam Summer Sale. Not going to pay full price for Borderlands 2 when I haven't even beaten Half Life 2 yet, which is arguably the best game of the last 10 years.

that turret he uses is an absolute beast of a special ability and just overall the game just looks more refined than the last time.
just watching him checking out the loot and stuff comparing stats etc.. had me reminded of when playing the original and the feeling i got when i found that incendiary sniper with ultra elemental effect combined with my +25?% elemental effect stone that set every enemy on fire and killed them in a single bullet (what a beast of a weapon!).

initially i was planning on waiting a bit to get it but now i'll probs pick it up on release....maybe......
just too many games and not enough time to play them!

Game only costs $69 as well. Got my pre order last week. I pretty much ran through the last levels or so. Complete WTF ending last time but heaps of fun. It was a game I could get my ex to play with me. Always a plus.

Yeah, completely agree. The guy was woeful, how can a developer be so bad with his own game?!! To get to zero health as many times as he did as well and even to die, just so bad.

But after watching it, I went onto JB's website and pre-ordered online (as it's $69 and the Premiere Club DLC is only for online orders now, plus there's a Claptrap stubby holder with online orders).

Everything asked and answered basically confirmed exactly what I wanted to know that the game is going to be a lot better than Borderlands, but also keep the same fun elements of the first. There's too much to go through, but thankfully Jeff asked the exact questions that a Borderlands fan would ask and got the right answers given for basically all of them.

And thank **** that there's a mini-map now, was easily the most annoying thing for me about the first game, not only just not really having a good orientation of where you're going and meant to be going, but trying to drive and remember what turns to take, etc. was terrible.

The Sonic comparison probably wasn't appropriate. As bad as those games were, at least they were playable. I can easily forgive a mediocre efforts, but Underdome Riot was unplayable.

I'm just staggered that in this day and age, a company like Gearbox can release a piece of broken downloadable content and expect people to pay money for it. I was dumb enough to buy it, and in the end, I still remember ragequitting after finding out the first levels were impossible to complete, and that happened to occur during an autosave, so I lost my level 50 character as well(not that I cared much).
