Yeah it definitely looks like things will get worse rather than better, however I don't think the rebuild will be as painful as last time.

1- we actually have our picks
2- we have some decent talent that would have some value (Gibbs or murph could get high picks)

I think we need to draft a solid spine first, try and get 3 picks in the top 20 this year and next year and take 4 talls to team with jaksch.

You can get gun mids from anywhere but the focus should be developing a good spine, then in year 3-4 of rebuild load up on a star free agent and draft some mids.

Just to make everyone feel a bit better, Josh Kennedy is sitting on top of the Coleman with 27 goals; Eddie Betts is second with 26.

That's 53 goals between them so far. Our whole team has managed 75 goals for the entire season, and that's really padded out by the 18 goals we nailed against the Saints.

You can add Garlett (15) and Waite's (13) majors to add another 28 goals to push it up to 81 if that makes anyone feel better. Those four ex Carlton forwards have outscored our entire team this year by six goals.

Our current leading goal kicker is Tom Bell with 10.
