Shocking attack on Norway citizens and I feel for the families and affected shoppers. And wider community . The cross bow argument is complex in that government protocol is considering banning buying these crossbow weapons now . There are 200 thousand registered hunters in Norway but they must use guns to hunt in certain months and that’s tied into land owners renting out their Forrest land for $$ for hunting but using guns only. Guns make sound versus illegal quiet stealth no sound killing when hunting . It’s traditional in many countries before gunpowder. Interesting though it’s legal in Sweden using crossbows. Very complex. Feel for the victims .

Police response sounds pathetic, armed known threat gets away from them (on foot), kills people, they finally catch him and fire warning shots? Made NZ response to their last attack only look very bad.

I’m not sure if they were armed when they first encountered him as Norwegian police don’t normally carry firearms apparently.
Would be a brave (or stupid) man to charge down a bloke pointing arrows at you whilst unarmed.
