Just wondering if anybody that now appreciates Bower has been overly critical and called him a dud in the past. Then I wonder if those same people are currently ripping it into Grigg or Russell.
Why is it acceptable to post that Gibbs/Kreuzer/Murph are going to be superstars but not tolerated when someone says player x doesn't look like the type that is going to make the grade?

Why are we allowed to pick the young guns from a mile away but not the spuds?

Very confusing.

I guess that it comes down to some so-called supporters always finding a reason to be negative. It's fine to be critical of someone but for some people they don't offer criticism they just offer bile.

There are negatives in every break of the game, every play of the game, week in week out. Players make mistakes. Coaches make mistakes. Selection panels seem to make mistakes. Recruitmant agents make mistakes. These are weekly issues. Topical stuff. Why shouldn't these be discussed? I don't think there is anything wrong with constructive criticsm but some people do go too far. Supposed cup-always-half-full posters who take offense to any criticism of the Blues really suck though.

Problem with being negative towards the kids though is that not everybody makes an immediate impact at the top level. It is ok to bag experienced players who aren't putting in 100% or doing the hard yards, etc... but I think the kids should be given a few years grace to find their feet. As everybody is well aware, Kade would be the perfect example.....if he were starting today most of the BF nuffies would have him delisted after his first year.

I agree with everything you have said. The important part of my post was the finding any reason to be negative part.
I don't have a problem with people offering opinions of what they think is wrong and then offering a solution but I am sure you have been to as many games as I have and have come across one of those "supporters" who spends 100 minutes just yelling abuse at the blues for no good reason. I mean if thats the way people feel go barrack for Richmond they love that sort of shit.
And as you say some people need to understand that the sun doesnt rise and set on Princes Park and that not everything done down there is done fantastically well.

Really impressed with Bower's last couple of games, The way he is able to run out or the defensive half reminds me of a young slightly less talented Kouta, I just hope he stays injury free and cements his spot in the side.

He betta not get injured and i get the feeling he will play all 22 games although i dream of more (The finals).

i still think he is a dud he makes zac dawson look like silvagni pulled one out of his arse against the pies and done nothing since and yes i am currently ripping into limp lettuce grigg and captain clanger russell

Great post newbie. Maybe one day he'll be as awesome as your 'nearly got appointed skipper' Maxwell. Good luck for round 12.
