No, no, ODN. The Wiggler is one of a kind. In fact certain things remind me of the great icon himself. For example, today I put my shoe on the wrong foot. Now that's a Wigglish momment.

like i said Wiggins deserved his spot in the team and no ammount of speculation about how bowyer may or may not have played a better game than him on the weekend will change anything .
and i notice most other BF posters tend to agree with me

Blues_Man, I'm happy to talk footy, it's the whole reason I decided to join BF. You attacked the man by referring to my limited amount of posts, so I responded in kind and towelled you up along the way. You referring to people as peanuts is not football discussion.

SMT made the call last week, that Bowyer should replace Wiggins. I disagreed, I was wrong and now think that based on current form Bowyer deserves a gig before Wiggo. SMT had every right to create this post after the sledging he copped from both of us, yet you still label him a peanut.

I would've thought the VFL was the best guide we had on who should be promoted to the seniors if players aren't performing. Can you suggest any other?

yes the seniors ..Wiggins has performed well enough to hold his place in the team more than other players ...Sporn for example . or do you just have an unhealthy obsession with Wiggins the same as a couple of others on here do ???

You lost me there. How can you use the Seniors as a guide on who is to be promoted to the Senior team. If someone is to be dropped from the Senior team, the replacement would have to come from the VFL.

Yeah fair point on Sporn, he has been very disappointing of late. I'll admit I'm not a big Wiggins fair (no obsession, the topic is about him, that's all), he impressed me against Port, but his good games are few and far between. I think his skills are ordinary (but so is the whole Carlton's side at the moment) and I don't think he has much to offer the team going forward. Drop him to the VFL, give someone else a chance (Bowyer, Davies, Bentick) and if he plays as well as these guys in the VFL, then bring him back.

We need to keep turning over players, finding out who has got it and who hasn't. Dropping Wiggins is not going to have a profound impact on the side. I guess you can add Sporn to the list and hopefully both can find some touch in the VFL, I do think Sporn has more improvement in him then Wiggins however.

Davies should be playing in front of both Bowyer and Chief Wiggins. Davies actually shows a bit of class from time to time, needs to be given more game time I reckon. He actually looked dangerous a few times early in the season. Should rotate Davies and Bettsy as small forwards.
