Lachie Wynd is the son of Stuart Wynd that played for the Hawks under 19s / Reserves in the late 1980 so has a Hawks connection. Lachie played in the Box Hill scratch match with Carlton and the Kangaroos last year during the bye weekend. Sam Mitchell was pretty impressed with him.

After a couple of poor results early in the season I thought we were building strongly before the season was cancelled due to Covid. A VFL premiership would have been a great way the end the season and kick start Sam's AFL coaching career however we'll never know and can only dream.
