News Box Hill Training and Training Reports - ** PLEASE READ**

The training announcement on the BHH website was addressed to players and officials. I discussed this post with our coach Damian Carroll on Friday and he thinks it is good to have supporters who are interested in the club and he would like to encourage their interest. Therefore supporters can attend training however I respectfully request no training reports are posted for the reasons outlined below.

Posters need to consider that this is not a closed forum and it is important to respect the fact that it may not be in the best interests of the club for posters to post training reports and in particular refer to an individual player. The VFL does not have a draft so the club has to work hard to resign players from the 2010 list let alone attract and sign recruits to make up the list of 45 players. BHH face strong competition from other VFL clubs who may promise our players and potential recruits senior games or offer more money. Also it is not easy retaining good VFL players who have no aspirations to play in the AFL because they are sometimes offered very good money by clubs in the EFL and suburban and country leagues. Our 2009 Development Premiership Team players Joel Cross who was awarded the A.Todd Medal for the Fairest & Best Player in the VFL Reserves Competition and Lachlan Carey played with Scoresby in 2010 and this year they are training with a SANFL club.

Please don't post names and run the risk of prompting interest from another club. Fortunately the club's strong culture, positive environment and reputation for development of players has proved to be a strong attraction for the young players to sign up. The fact that our current young signings have focused on their long term growth says a lot about their maturity and desire to maximise their potential. Over the next couple of weeks BHH will be signing up more quality recruits so stay tuned.

all sounds good to me and i am no good at reports so i don't usually if i did no one would understand what i was on about LOL i will go down to watch one day soon would have done last week but worked late
