I guess have to rock up to the G early to buy the tickets (hoping if there are any left:p)
There won't be any. Buy Gold now if you want to go on Boxing Day.

About 5 times what there was at any other day so far in this series

Are you going, eddie? First time in your life the Poms have a sniff of winning/retaining the Ashes with the opening of the Melbourne Test.

Will your boy Colly make the side? Big worry with his bat.....Becoming the Roy of England.....

Ought to be well over 80k....90 if Melbourne has decent weather.....

Day 1 is sold out.

Wont be going due to leaving for overseas :thumbsd:

I wish, the good tickets disappeared the day they went on sale, oh well, get down for about day 4 when we retain the Ashes :D

Colly will survive, Morgan is crap, he might be struggling but its not like anyone else is doing anything. Trott hates any life in a pitch and will never make runs unless it is flat as Adelaide or Brisbane, Prior is the worst keeper batsman in world cricket. Got a few worries there, just gotta hope Australia stick with Hilfenhaus so our openers can get off to a flier and take the pressure off the middle order

if tickets are sold out i don't understand how the crowd can't be up 95k??

there are over 100k MCC members according to their web-site and about 25k members seats. i can't believe only 15k out of 100k would turn for the boxing day test. if the day is sold out, then the 10k difference between the capacity and the actual crowd is most likely going to be empty members seats (which is kinda confirmed in this thread)....

the members section of the SCG is full pretty much every single test for day one. they are always turning members away on day one and usually days two and three in the bigger tests. And the SCG only has about 20k members for about 12k seats.... the SCG memberships usually get about 15k of 20k turn up for the news years day test with the extra's not being able to get in.

I still don't understand why AFL members get a third of a stand to themselves when it's for the cricket not the Footy. Sure give them discounts if you really have to, but it should be open to the general public as well.

SJ (or anyone) do you have a link to where specifically you got this from ticketek? Have a group of mates coming down for Day 3. Have told them we wont need to book and just walk up but some are worried we may miss out. Cheers.
Yeah it was listed on the page where you select the number and type of tickets you want.

Why not avoid the risk and queue at the ground and just buy them now?

I got my tix when the came out in July.

I do know the tickettek website says more on sale atm.

My question is: General reserved in Southern stand, level one, i have a seat number in M11, but i wanna sit in Bay 13 (M13)

Does anyone know if they will enforce your seat numbers??

That area is general admission seating so I assume it'll be first in best dressed with no attendants. Not sure why though when you have reserved seats in M11 which will then go empty.

Thanks SJ.

Its a good question, basically two fold answer. At the minute have a couple of blokes who are "maybe's" and about 8 "Yes's" so not sure of final numbers. Also have a bucks party the night before so some of those 8 may turn into 'too sick to moves' on the morning of the match, so dont wanna fork out the $$ just yet.
