I somehow doubt the absence of Australia will cause anyone to give a rat's.

If you want to get to them, dress all Aussie/American/English fans there like this

Qatar should of won 22-0. So far and away the best bid its not funny. 50 bill they will spend. Weather is a pointless topic of discussion because they will create their own weather system within the stadiums. Players and fans will all be fine, if not better than normal.

Australia had and have as much chance of holding the World Cup as Danny Devito does of winning next years Sexiest Man Alive. The timezone and travel is just too horrific to even contemplate it

So many differences I dont know where to start but ill give you the 2 main ones

1. Olympics are hosted by a city, not a country. The travel between Sydney/Perth etc would be insane for the players to be doing over the 3 weeks given how quick games come about

2. Olympics are a 16 hour long daily event. The World Cup is a 6 hour max daily event. Only reason Australia got the Olympic games was because the 16 hour timespan allowed for easy configuration of the sports to fit into each countries time profile ie. (basketball on early mornings/lunchtime for US audiences)

Groups would be set up in each location, so they wouldn't have to travel until the KO stages of the tournament.

It would be fine.

Wouldnt be ideal for FIFA, Australia or anyone else for that matter.

You go tell Jose Mourinho (coaching England by 2002 bookmark it) he has to play at Telstra Dome/IceRink
