Does a straight swap for Lukosius sound fair?....Or does one club need to add something to the equation?....Possibly Greenwood I'm thinking.

Nah Lukosius has a lot more trade value than Crouch.

Went number 1 last year & would still rank that this year I'd reckon.....A tall key forward you could build a side round for the next decade.

He went number 2. Other then that agree with what you're saying, but all comes down to how confident GC are they can hold him for that long which we have clue on.

There is no way a club will be handing out a top 5 pick for Crouch and a pick between 10-15 is enough if he decides he is gone

If a club is offering a player a 5 year deal at $1m pa, they are going to have to offer up more than pick 10-15 when the player is still contracted for another 2 years. Luko would come into consideration.

Btw, I doubt Brouch is heading anywhere given his local girlfriend is keen to stay. Just trying to get more $'s & years from the Crows.

That won’t happen. GC won’t trade him this year for anything less than what GWS did with boyd. The sweetener would be the crows first pick.

I doubt Adelaide's first pick will be on the trade table when they have quite clearly flagged that they are in re-build mode.....They're letting all these players go in order to further their draft stocks, not diminish them.

So Crouch, Greenwood & maybe a future third rounder, could get it done I reckon.

Mind you, if I were Adelaide, then I'd be looking to snaffle Rankine as well....Then their first pick would have to come into calculations.....Worth it though.

Adelaide would clearly expect a top 5 pick for crouch because of the RFA

GC may not

Easy solution he stays and leaves as a RFA

Obviously you'd need to weigh that up against the value you place on landing Lucosius.

Not too many gun key forwards in the offing you can build a team around, I'd of thought.

whereas class midfielders come by the half dozen-full, every draft year.

Well so far all they have been sprouting has turned out to be true with the players they mentioned already gone public in Betts , Jenkins, Greenwood , Jacobs and so much smoke around other that you just cannot ignore. The Vic media have been going with other things like the camp and coaching issue's which crows supporters here rubbished. maybe You guys should take a bit more notice also

Gold Coast are a big chance I'd say..

They are desperate for mature players who can immediately impact. With salary cap exemptions and direct access to The AFL's bank account, they would probably offer him more than any other side... maybe even 1.2 mil + marketing deals and ambassador roles, etc, etc, etc... He could get up to 1.5 mil a year with all that other stuff worked into it, but outside the salary cap, so only 1 to 1.2 mil declared!

I'm probably out of my depth on this point, not knowing intimate details but isn't this how every Melbourne club pays players.

More than just crows and port would take him at 1. It was closer to a 50/50 decider on who clubs would of took. Suns should just get crouch next year if still keen and then trade luko if that's what crows think he is worth.

Honest question for Crows fans. Why Crows actually don't give Brad a 5 year contract? Some of you here think he's one of the best Crows players if not the best, possibly winning B&F, is over his injuries after surgery. I would expect it's no brainer for the club to keep him during rebuild. Surely money is not the issue as some older players are leaving. On one hand Crows keep Walker who I would expect is on a good coin on the other hand the club seems opened the door for one of their best player to possibly leave.

I'd give him a 4 year deal with a trigger for a 5th..don't want to lose him at all

I don't get why you're still lingering on this post. All you seem to do is tell people they're wrong and to go do their research, yet every theory you've had has been shot down hard and shows you don't know what you're talking about. Both matt and brad are contracted players,both will be restricted when their contracts end,matt is an AA and B&F and Brad will win our B&F this year. Go back to Port Adelaide posts where your biased opinions may actually be wanted.
