****!!! I don't think a lot of you will realise how bad a loss this is until the weekend. Hes the best kick in our team at the moment with whose in.
You Honestly think he's a better kick then Lecras, Sheppard and Kennedy???
Wrong. You choose weird players to criticize EasternHills. The reliable guys who I think we can depend on especially when the team is as low as it is at the moment.

When we first drafted him I was definately dubious about that prospect but after seeing him a bit more this year I can firmly say he does look like having a good future with us. Great ball user and even though he is slowish he works into space and runs his absolute arse off. My main criticism of him is he is sometimes very sheapish and weak in the contest but in the modern game where players are recruited to play certain roles I can forgive that. I can definately see him playing 100 games for us and for mine is ahead of Embley, Ebert, Strijk, McGinnity and even Selwood who all played on the weekend.
1stly BB- Its not wrong its his opinion, Just like this is yours even if I disagree completely its not wrong. I bolded the "I thinks" to show you that your entitled to your opinion as well.
You are most definately wrong about the bottom two especially reliable kicking. Wow...have you guys actually been watching the game or is this a case of everyone bandwagoning and finding a whipping boy? For mine it appears to be the latter.
Ive watched every game more then once, to simply take the emotion out of it the 2nd time. Dalziell is ordinary at best, If we are placing our return to the top through players like him and Priddis we are in serious trouble.

Our future is in our Youth, even though Dalziell is still on the young side he is one of the more experianced youngsters and deserve's his spot in the team atm but if he doesn't improve his defencive side and doesn't improve his positioning then I dare say he will be dropped.

If you (BB) Honestly think he played well on the weekend I would suggest you watch the telecast again. He was not the worst but he was far from the best.

1) Great ball user - are you serious ?
2) Weak at contest - have a look at his stats for last weeks game. In the match v collingwood where the pies thrived on contested possession and being hard at the ball - how many of Dalziell's 21 possessions were contested ? NONE thats right zilch, zero, nil. That would have to be some kind of record would'nt it ?
3) I can not forgive any player in AFL standing out on the wing by himself all game and not competing, especially one who cant actually do much constructive with the ball when he gets it.
Complete and utter waste of space.
4) Unfortunately I can also see him playing 100 games for WC, but thats an indictment on the quality of their current list rather than on the ability of one Bradd Dalziell.

Personally - i don't want kerr back this year - all that can happen of note is him re-injure himself, i don't see the point of him playing half TOG for the last 4 games.

Get him cherry ripe for next year!

I wouldn't mind seeing a Geelong-esque training regime for him.

Work him hard from Sept to Oct - give him 2 months off and have him come back fresh in January!

His kicking is very average, some times he looks almost classy but then his disposal breaks down and he's highly "error" prone.
He lacks physicality and his decision making...

He's not on his way to being delisted, but he's not the type of player that modern sides can "Carry".

S.Selwood will play a hell of allot more games, he's our fastest developing midfielder, he's durable. His kicking skills are top notch and he improves with every game.

Dalziell is a great runner but he floats from contest to contest and gets cheap outside ball. For such a potent runner id be looking for him to win ball back in our favour, something he will never be competent at.

Comparing him to Strijk at this stage is foolish, backround is total different. Speed, kicking skills, utility all fall in favour of Strijk.

Comparisons to Ebert and Priddis ill listen too. All three wouldn't be playing if we where full strength and moving forward.

It's not something I would have said of Scooter earlier in the year - but agree he has developed rapidly this year and his kicking and just as importantly - decision making skills - have improved immensely.

Better news though, Butler is only listed as 4 weeks.

I was thinking he was going to miss the season.

that is exciting news, i thought he was gone for the season as well. at worst now he will get some wafl games at the end of the season and a good pre season under his belt for next year. at best he might crack a few afl games.....

sorry to hear about dalz. ideally you want as many players fit and firing as you can and he was obviously trying hard to cement his spot in the team and putting in some commendable performances over the past few weeks.

to an above poster, id play kerr if he trained strongly. why not... we went the safe root with him last year and he got re injured. if his body cant handle a few games after coming back from a hammy after training strongly will it ever come back... as mentioned gibson and riewoldt will both be playing this weekend.
